How much space is needed AROUND the hole for this to mount to the door? My door has a window+frame in the top half of the door, and I'm concerned the window will interfere with the door lock and it won't be able to sit flush on the door.
Hello Ian, this lock has a 3" width so as long as your door can accommodate 4-5" inches, you should be okay.
I love the idea of the Tamper Alert and the Forced Entry Alert. However, the Activity alert where it beeps twice every time the door opens & closes sounds a bit much for me ? can you turn that feature off? Thanks!
I bought my lock 9 months ago and there isn’t an activity alert on the door lock. I looked at the description to see if something change and I don’t see that one was added.
I think that's something you need to manually turn on. Mine doesn't beep when opening or closing the door.

what is the max door thickness this can bolt onto?

Does this unit actually "open" the door, automatically? Or does it only just rotate the deadbolt and then the door handle needs to be operated manually in order for the door to be opened?

It does not operate the door handle which it must be manual done but its do automatic unlock and lock the deadbolt
is this for right or left handed doors, or does it work with either?
