Does this flooring include underlayment? Charlestone 9/32 in. T x 5.2 in. W Waterproof Hand Scraped Bamboo Flooring (13.1 sqft/case)
This floor comes with an attached 1mm IXPE pad for sound suppression and cushioning. If you're installing Charlestone over a concrete subfloor we recommend using a 6 mil plastic sheet as a moisture barrier. Because of the attached pad, no additional sound control underlayment is required.
Does it require a moisture barrier
If your subfloor is concrete then we do recommend using a moisture barrier. A 6 mil polyethylene film, or an equivalent, will help protect your floor from subfloor moisture. If your subfloor is wood then no additional moisture protection is required in most cases.
Is this considered a rigid core SPC 5mm 20 mil wear layer
Thank you for your question. Bay Point is a stone polymer composite (SPC) core floor, but it is a hybrid bamboo floor, not a vinyl. As a result, it does not have a wear layer like a vinyl floor, but rather has a 1.2mm thick bamboo veneer.

Although it has a stone polymer composite (SPC) core similar to many vinyl floors, it is not a vinyl floor, so it does not have a wear layer. With bamboo floors we instead use the veneer thickness as one of the gauges of the durability.
Do I need glue the planks down to the subfloor when installing?
