Beautify your landscape with Earthgro by Scotts Brown Mulch. Our bagged mulch uses Scotts Color Advantage to provide year-long color. Made from forest products, this shredded wood mulch helps conserve soil moisture while also preventing weeds by blocking growth and access to sunlight when applied at a 3-inch depth. Plus, this landscape mulch is free from construction debris and is locally made*. Use this colored mulch around trees, shrubs, flowers, or vegetables in gardens and landscapes. Some color fading of exposed material will occur due to natural product degradation. For longest color, keep mulch dry for 24 hours after application. To optimize color, it is recommended to turn or rake the top 1" of mulch every 3-4 months. you say your mulch has chunk size wood pieces in it. How much of the bag consists of these chunks? And how big. One of your competitor's bags chunks were 3in. long and 2 in. wide or round.

Do I need to glue the mulch down like I would with gravel?

I put out mulch and it just rained hard, I know directions say wait 24 hrs to water in. Will this make it fade?
Don't expect the color on this to last much longer then the summer/few month Been buying mulch 15+ years, the color never lasts
For best results should be applied when rain is not expected for 24/48 hours and should not water area for 24 hours after apply to allow the mulch the fully dry which helps to set the colorant. While Scotts Color Enhanced Mulches are guaranteed to stay color fast for one year. The label instructions recommend turning the top inch of mulch every 3/4 months for optimum color. You may want to give it a turn if it was a heavy rain. No extreme weather guarantee: We do not have an extreme weather guarantee. If torrential rains, hurricanes, or flooding occur and wash the product away, this is not covered by the guarantee.
how much does each bag weigh?
