              Answer This Question

Joyce, yes, mint keeps mosquitoes away with its menthol smell. Planting mint or using it in sprays or crushed leaves helps keep mosquitoes out of your space. Pairing mint with citronella, basil, or marigolds makes it easier to control mosquitoes outside.

My plants arrived very well packed and the cups were upright, as expected. The delivery was on time. However, my rating is based on the fact the soil was not even remotely damp! It was like sawdust! No moisture whatsoever. As a result the plant leaves were brown and crumbled. There were only a couple of viable stems left, and even those were questionable, at best. Unfortunately, I watered them completely, in hopes of possibly salvaging something, before it occurred to me to take a picture. But I think the condition of the plants speak for themselves. I tried to find a way to report the issue and ask for a refund, but was unable to find anything on the bonnie plants site. I also looked on home depot site, but since the order came directly from bonnie plants, i couldn't find anything appropriate on the HD site either. As it turned out, one stem of one plant came back to life and is growing well. But it will be quite awhile before there is enough to "harvest".

We love our Mint plant! We purchased because apparently mint deters mosquitos, so trying to keep them away! Our herb plant is really healthy and I think it will thrive all summer. We just potted it in a small pot, so may need to upgrade the pot if it keeps growing!

The plants looked pretty, however they were not ready to be sold yet. They didn’t have enough roots.Transition from controlled environment was hard on the poor plants. Most of the leaves died in a couple of days.
