Thank you for reaching out with your question. This feeder is best suited for cardinals, chickadees, goldfinches, nuthatches, and titmice.
Replacement ports are not available for this feeder. It has a one year replacement policy.
As far as I can determine, the bottom part is not removable. I can't tell if it has been glued (it does not appear to have been). Regardless, it cannot be twisted or turned. I don't have a problem with what little debris builds up in the bottom, because mine get cleaned every day or ever other day at most. There is a slight accumulation of tiny seeds around the inserted piece at the bottom next to the plastic cylinder, but birds cannot get there to begin with. It might be nice if that bottom plug/insert could be removed, but I don't see it as overwhelmingly necessary. Clean it out often, and fresh feed will be available to the birds. I suppose that with a suitably long, flat tool (like a hacksaw blade, only thinner and longer) one could scrape the space between the plastic plug/insert at the bottom and the plastic cylinder (inserting the tool down into the feeder from the top). But I still don't see that as necessary. If a bunch of grunge is allowed to build up, and it bothers you, I suggest you simply buy another one; this is not an expensive bird feeder.
We recommend soaking this feeder in warm soapy water to clean.
