Do you need a screw on each floor joist with 12” spaced joists
Thank you for your question. When installing Hidden Fasteners, one fastener is required at each joist. In situations where two boards meet on a single joist, we recommend using the Trex Hideaway Butt Joint Clip to allow for proper spacing and support. Alternatively, you may install a 2 x 4 nailer board at the joist location and secure the boards using two Trex Hideaway Universal Hidden Fasteners. Thank you, Brooke - Trex Customer Care Team
If I’ve pulled off the old wood decking that was nailed down, and I’m not replacing the joists, are these screws long enough to give me a good hold in the older wooden choice
