Remove the battery tab and the film from the solar panel. To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your solar landscape lights, proper placement and care are essential. Position the solar panel to face true south (in the Northern Hemisphere) and angle it so it is perpendicular to the sun’s rays during peak sunlight hours. Avoid placing the lights in areas shaded by trees, buildings, or other obstructions, as this will reduce charging efficiency. Also, keep the lights away from bright artificial light sources like street lamps or exterior house lights, as these can interfere with the light sensor and cause the light to shut off prematurely.
Lights come on at dusk and only stay on for a few hours before dimming. They don’t stay lit all night. Why?
Please check the battery connection. Placement of a solar light is all-important. For best results, the solar cell should face south and positioned on an angle so it is perpendicular to the sun. The surface of the solar cell should not be shaded by foliage or structures at any time during the day.
