Questions & Answers
So do they work with just Bluetooth or not? One question has answer of no and then another states Bluetooth is preferred. Which is it? I would like to use with camper but don’t always have WiFi but always have Bluetooth.
Is there a remote that I can buy to turn the lights on and off? Is the Hubspace app the only way to control the lights? These are outdoor on a deck and I would like multiple people to be able to use them.
The remove for this product is not available separately, and is the only way to control the string light set outside of the Hubspace app. You may be able to give permission for multiple people to access the set via the Hubspace app in their phones. Will it work with tiki plug in repellent
No, this is not designed to work with tiki repellant or other plug-in lights.
How many strings can I daisy chain together
You can connect up to 5 strings to one controller.
How do I reset a strand if half is working and half have a mind of there on. Coming off and on at odd times and won’t take commands from app. Other half works fine.
If you have ‘Party Mode’ active in the Hubspace app, the string lights will react to any loud sound or music, which may make them appear “crazy”. Simple deactivating the setting will normalize the lights. If not, remove the string light set from the Hubspace app. Unplug the string light controller for 30 seconds, then plug them back in, but do not add to or activate the Hubspace app. Using only the controller, press the button and go through its various flashing patterns until you hit ‘white’ and not flashing. If this is OK, then add back to the app. Otherwise, contact Customer Service for further assistance.
How do you get the lights to stop flashing
You can do this a number of ways, based on what's activating the lights and making them flash. If you're lights are in 'Party Mode' (in the Hubspace app), go the the product in the app, scroll to the bottom of the app page and deselect/turn OFF 'Party Mode'. This mode is very sensitive to sound, and if you forget to turn if off, will make the lights react to anything in the environment. Also in the Hubspace app, you may have your lights set to a Preset or custom Pattern. Simply switching to a solid color or variation of white (the first two settings at the top) will deactivate the pattern flashing. Lastly, if you are not using the Hubspace app, you can press the button on the Controller until you reach a color/pattern that is solid with no flashing. Note that the 'default' color is white, with no flashing.
Is there a way to connect these string lights to my low voltage line attached to my hubspace smart transformer?
The products may be placed in the same 'Room' inside the Hubspace app, so when the Room is activated, both products become active as well.
