After install, I am getting the consistent blinking red light on all seven of my new units, same as the user "Mike" has shared here. I've contacted parent company Fiet Electric and followed their troubleshooting tips to no avail.
The description says "With UL certification, you can trust in the reliability and performance of USI Hardwired Smoke Alarms." Does the alarm have UL Certification or ETL Certification. Two very different distinctions. I know ETL certifies to meet UL.
Thank you for your question, this unit is UL Certified. When it comes to product safety in the United States, there are no practical differences between ETL and UL. Both are OSHA-recognized Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories that test and certify products to the exact same federal safety standards.ETL (owned by Intertek) does not write its own testing standards. Instead, they test products using the exact same safety standards originally developed by UL (Underwriters Laboratories).
Is this model comparable to a usi 1204
Thank you for your question, The existing wiring harness/connector may or may not match exactly. In many cases, you’ll need to swap the included quick-connect harness onto the house wiring. If your alarms are interconnected, verify all connected alarms are compatible after installation and test the entire system.
