Questions & Answers

Can wall dimmer control multiple fixtures?
ByMar 13, 2025
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

You have to make sure that the power of your dimmer is at least 50W, and that it is possible to control multiple fixtures without stringing them.

Does it come with a remote to dim the light? Does the dimmer reduce all the way to no light?

      Answer This Question

We don't have a remote to control dimming on this miner's lamp. The dimmer can be set to 10% or less to know that there is no light at all.

2 x 4 led ceiling lights for recessed panels
I received my lights and installed them 2 weeks after receiving them. They were very light weight and easy to install, easier than removing the old light I had installed, I put the 2 lights in my basement area that has my desk and work bench in. These lights really lit the room, always thought I needed more lighting in that room and these did the trick. The wiring was very easy to connect, connecting box had space to connect power in and space to jump to second light and make connections. Purely love them and definitely will be getting more to install in rest of basement.

Easy to install and look great
I put this light in my bathroom and it gives off a lot of light. You can install a dimmer but I did not need one. The wiring is very simple with everything labeled inside the power adapter/driver. The extra hooks hold the light sturdy to the handing frame. You can see in the photo's where I attached the power adapter/driver to the frame of the light to keep it secure. This looks way better than the ceiling lights I had before behind the clear ceiling tiles.

Thin, easy to setup, and quality feeling LED panel
I got these lights to improve some direct lighting in a workshop. The box is only about 4" thick for, and the panels take up around half an inch of that. The rest is foam packing to protect the panels. These things are super thin. So thin I had to be careful moving them because they do flex a decent bit. The LED driver box is included but not connected, which allows you flexibility of placement if you want these super flush. For my workshop I don't need them that flat mounted on the ceiling so I attached the driver to the back of the panel. There is a raised spot on the bottom of the driver box that allows it to fit over the spot where the wires come out of the panel allowing you to secure it neatly. Wiring it up is a piece of cake. I went with a plug in approach for my configuration, and it took all of 5 minutes to strip the wires and press them in. I am not using a dimmer, but you can provided you keep to the proper 10v LED dimmer, and the configuration for wiring that up is shown on the driver box. The most work I had for setting these up was putting together a box for it to mount in my space. The color quality of the LED lighting is really good for a 5000k light. I do notice a little edge bleeding around the panel, visible at the trim. I also thought that 7800 lumens would seem a bit brighter. I think it's primarily because of the direct lighting approach of these panels. I might need a couple more to fully fill my space the way I want, but these two are a good start, and since it takes no time to set them up, I am pretty happy with the performance and setup so far. I marked it 4 stars for the amount of light, but everything else about these panels makes it a solid option.

Using as flush mounted ceiling panels
These drop in LED conversion kits for 2 x 4 T8 are being repurposed in a non commercial setting but are looking and working great. I removed the 6” cans and installed these panels in their place. I reversed the clips to flush ceiling mount them and installed the included LED into the ceiling where the previous cans were. Total install time for my installation was 30 minutes. Easy to wire with the included terminal blocks but my only complaint would be the length of the wires from the panel.

          Not really bright
Not 100% satisfied because even though my emails were answered. Now I know, adding an $80.00 10v LED dimmer won't make it any brighter. I have to buy a $34.00 frame to secure it to a ceiling. A drop ceiling is what it is read for out of the box. The 120v AC to 12vDC power supply does get quite hot to the touch. Makes me wander how this saves energy.

High Quality LED panels and drivers
I received a 2 pack of these led panels that were well packaged and decided to install them in my dim lit basement laundry area. A basic knowledge of wiring is helpful, but hooking up was fairly easy and the difference they made was amazing. They are bright and the thin design make them very versatile. Small gauge wires used for light panel can be tricky to get into the driver, using a tiny flat screwdriver helped a lot. Highly recommend product.

The light is bright but you need to check mounting of the driver
I really want to like this product but there are a few things that knock it down. Pros: Very even brightness. Nice color. Seems sturdy. Cons: The instructions are minimal. The LED driver cannot be attached to the back (as shown in the limited instructions). The wire terminals are small, spring loaded type and don't allow for positive connections (ring or fork terminals). Depending on how you plan to mount the driver, the wires out of the back are going to be too short. The instructions show it mounted to the back of the panel, but there is no positive way to do so. If you do mount this way, the cables would be the right length, however, the indent in the diver box isn't quite enough to allow for flush mounting. I tried to mount these in my kitchen, but the size is off, so I need to modify my method. Not a fault of the units, my ceiling isn't a typical drop style. I think the frame of these might be strong enough to do a wire hang as shown, but I think I'd still have to reinforce them, especially if I was to double stick tape the driver to the backs. Please ignore the cabling in my photos, I was hooking them up in my garage before I tore down my kitchen lights. Glad I did too.

          Good lights with multiple uses
Review of 2 ft. x 4 ft. 7800 Lumens Integrated LED Panel Light, 5000K LED Light Fixture ETL Listed Recessed EdgeLit Light (2-Pack). I received these as part of the Home Depot Seeds Program. I chose to review these as I needed more light in my woodworking shop to work safely. The size is perfect (2’ X 4’) as the ceiling joists are 2’ apart. The 3 ways to mount them made the job easy. The 1 page instruction sheet shows the 3 ways to mount the fixtures. In the third mounting way you simply fold up 4 tabs and hook them to the ceiling joists with screws. The electrical is where a non electrician will have problems, and the instructions do say the light must be installed by a “qualified ELECTRICIAN or ELECTRICAL ENGINEER”. The instructions only tell about connecting the AC to the LED driver box. It does not instruct you to connect the LED panel wire to the driver box. The connections are shown in a diagram in the instruction sheet. The instructions also do not instruct you to mount the driver box to the panel. Looking at the box there are 2 screw tabs that match to 2 screws on the edge of the light panel that also lets the wires from the LED panel pass through the bottom of the driver box. So you just remove the 2 screws, run the wire through the bottom of the box, push down the spring connector and insert the wires, then attach the box using the 2 screws. Connect AC wire through one of the 3 knock outs, replace the box lid, and connect to your power. They give a nice even light without the annoying hum given by fluorescent bulb drivers.

          LED 2X4
2 ft. x 4 ft. 7800 Lumens Integrated LED Ceiling Panel Light, 5000K. These LED light fixtures are perfect replacement lights for old style fluorescent light fixtures. Installed in my Church for several reasons. Much cheaper to use than old fixtures and the light can be dimmed for special occasions. They are designed to drop into existing ceiling grid. If any knowledge about electrical the DIY can install.
