Do you need to plug into electricity.
Motorized retractable awnings have a 12’ long cord that plugs into a 110 outlet. The way to determine which side you would like your motor to be on, is if you were outside facing the awning.

I don’t understand the 96” vertical height requirement. My deck has a 7 1/2’ height from floor to soffit. If the pitch was kept very small it seems like it wouldn’t be a problem for anyone.
The 96" is a recommendation height. The awning will drop about a 1' and has a 10" valance that would hang down.
I need the awning to protect my patio furnitures, sofa, table and chairs of raining. Can I left the awning extended to protect my furnitures?
The awning and fabric is strictly for sun shade use only. We recommend the awning be closed, during all types of rain. Even sprinkles can cause water to pool on the fabric. This can damage the fabric as well as the arms. Please note, the awning can collect water on the fabric, water can pool and ruin the arms and fabric which will not be covered by warranty.
