Engineered for excellent adhesion to a variety of properly prepared or primed residential and light commercial metal surfaces. How does this paint hold up to painting aluminum siding as far as fading and chipping?
Hi there, thank you for your question. The interior/exterior paint will provide fade resistance. To avoid chipping, the surface should be well prepared. Remove any loose paint, clean and scuff sand the surface to promote adhesion. For best results, use a rust-inhibitive primer such as the Multi-Surface Primer and Sealer No. 436 on non-ferrous metals, galvanized metal, and aluminum. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna

I plan on painting my front door, current paint is chipping and flaking off. Is this product going to hold up in direct sunlight? Are there any additional steps needed aside from cleanig/sanding my old door before applying this?

Besides ensuring the surface is sound, by removing the loose coating, sanding the edges smooth, cleaning, and letting the surface area dry, you can add primer for optimal corrosion resistance, like Behr Multi-Surface Primer No. 436.
