The BEHR PREMIUM PLUS Ceiling Paint features a durable, acrylic-latex formula that is specifically designed for use on previously painted or primed interior ceilings. This spatter resistant formula minimizes glare and provides a mildew-resistant finish. This formula also maintains the original acoustical ceiling properties.

However, our Premium Plus Ceiling Paint is available in the untinted Ultra Pure White color or can be tinted to the color of your choice. Terrible quality, I do not recommend

I bought five gallons of this paint and thought it would last the entire project. But it turned out I was very wrong, I had to paint the ceiling in three layers and the coating was still uneven. At first I thought I was doing something wrong, but then I read the reviews and realized it was a problem with the paint itself. I had never had such problems with other brands before. I don't recommend this particular paint, I don't know

Streaky Paint. Doesn't look good.

We're doing a basement renovation and used this product and are quite displeased with it. First we sprayed the paint and it left big marks along the whole ceiling. It did not blend together. We decided to roll the second coat to make sure it was covered everywhere and dried nice and uniform. However, we can still see the roller marks and it doesn't look good. It was tough to get a photo of how bad it is, but in person it's very noticeable from a contractor's perspective. I would not recommend using this product.

Tricky to apply...

Great if you spray it but not easy using a roller. I finally discovered using a 1/2 inch roller with a little water in the paint helped get the paint on without leaving streaks along the edge of the roller. Get it on wet and roll it in an area good and get another roller up to blend while wet before the last coat dries out. Still and all, painting over flat white with no stains took 2 coats on one room and three on another, using a roller. My paint contractor sprayed my shop ceiling with two coats and it came out fine.

Not what I was expecting

I thought I was doing something wrong, turns out Behr is just a bad product. The sales person told me it was better than the alternatives in the store. Not sure how many more ceilings I will paint, doing this one four times and now a fifth with local paint store product to cover the crap job Behr paint left, does it for me.

Cracks

This paint cracks, especially over painters caulk. It has no flexibility whatsoever. In some cases I've noticed some cracks just on regular painted/primed flat drywall. You will spend hours on prep work to get a super smooth flat wall and edge, only to have this paint ruin it. If you caulked the corners of your ceiling to smooth out imperfections or bumps, or used caulk around crown molding, this pain will crack all across it. I am an experienced painter and I have never had this issue with other ceiling paints. Even in the same exact house, same caulk, same temperature/humidity where I applied Sherwin Williams ceiling paint to I did not have this cracking issue. Home Depot was just open when I needed it and I should have just waited instead.

2 coats plus BIN primer to do ceiling

Not the quality of 20 years ago. Took 2 gallons plus a quart of BIN primer to cover a 12x24 basically clean, already white ceiling. Two coats, plus the BIN for all the places it bled through, plus touchups, to get one solid shade of white. A 3-day project. If you have anything on your ceiling that can bleed through (bug spots, minor dirt, etc.), it will. Years back, this paint would cover awesomely. No more.

Do not cover, it's basically white water

I used it on my ceiling that was already white and it made it worse. It's not my first time painting ceiling but it's the first time with this paint and it's been the worst. I come from Europe where I used a real professional paint called Zolpan and it was day and night compared to cheap paint like this one. With Zolpan I only needed one coat and it was perfect. I know you can't find this brand here but that means real professional paint can be way better than this one so you will save time, quality and money by finding a best option,
