Yes – wallpaper can be a great way to cover up dated wood paneling and/or renew the look of a room. However, you will need to prepare the paneled walls first. The grooves need to be filled in with caulk. If the grooves are deeper than ¼” you may need to hang a wallpaper liner vertically before hanging your wallpaper. The paneling should also be primed with a stain-blocking latex primer before hanging your wallpaper.
