They are bolted onto the digging mechanism so they are certainly replaceable. I don't know how easy it is to obtain replacement handles but you could make some easily enough.

They are removable (in fact, upon receiving you attach them yourself). As far as replacements, you'd have to contact the company.

They are removable but we do not sell replacement handles for this product. They are made of wood reinforced fiberglass and should not need replacing. If any damage happens during the normal use of the product it will be covered by our warranty. Thank you!

Yes, the warranty will cover any damage during normal use. We recommend that with any tool our customers pay attention to the feedback the tool is giving and adjust tactics. For example if you hit a very large obstruction with our broadfork consider switching to a digging bar or round point to remove it before continuing to cultivate the soil. With proper use, care and maintenance our tools will last a lifetime and we will stand behind them!

It should if you have the original receipt. It is hard to imagine the tines bending though. Just take it back to where you purchased it.

Tines are NOT thin cylinders like on a pitchfork. They are more like knifes.

                        Quality Product, Easy Use
This broadfork is a great manual tiller that deeply loosens the soil without affecting the layers of the soil too much—which is great for raised beds and preparing gardens for planting. The sharp blades easily slice through the soil without much effort and the wide frame makes it easy to stand on and drive in more deeply if needed. It would also be great for loosening the soil to harvest root vegetables like carrots and daikon radishes. I would definitely recommend this. It makes the actual manual labor of tilling and aerating the soil much easier. See video for how to use.

                        Not for the Faint-of-Heart
The 54.5 in. Fiberglass Handle Steel Tine Broadfork is not what I was expecting. From the illustration on the HD page, it looked as if it had narrow tines which could easily be thrust into a lawn to aerate it. I should have paid more attention. It is huge and it weighs nearly 12 pounds but feels like it weighs more after picking it up a few times. Using this fork is a great way to build up upper arm and upper body strength. If you are comfortable with the size and weight, it is a great, well-designed tool. I was looking for a method of aerating my lawn other than using two spading forks (one in each hand), lifting them and then trying to thrust them into the ground. With this broadfork, its weight is sufficient to make small holes in the lawn just by dropping it. Lifting it and going from place to place are what builds the arm muscles. It does a great job of aerating. The two side handles make it easy to use except for its weight. It works much, much better than a spading fork in loosening soil in a garden. The design is such that you can easily step on it between the two handles. After pushing it into the soil, all you need to do is pull back on the two handles. Voila! You have dug a six-inch deep swath 20+ inches wide. This broadfork was a serendipitous find. Now you can have a beautiful lawn and garden and a strong body. The broadfork is made in America and has a limited lifetime warranty if you keep the original receipt.

First time using the broad fork. worked well on a slope garden - where a rototiller would just slide and be difficult to control; used to loosening the soil, getting ready to plant potatoes and corn.

Solid. Working well through soil with rocks and big trees roots. I'm happy enough with it.
