BEHR COPPER FORCE interior paint harnesses copper's antimicrobial properties by killing 99.9% of viruses (SARS CoV-2 and Feline calicivirus) and bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) on your painted surfaces within 2 hours of exposure. It continually kills the aforementioned viruses and bacteria on painted surfaces for up to 6 years as long as the paint film integrity is maintained. It is ideal for use on walls, doors, and trim in high-touch surfaces found in residential, commercial, and institutional settings.

Color is no where close

One Coat Coverage and Anti-bacterial Protection!
I needed a new color for my guest bathroom. I have long known that BEHR makes high-quality paint products. The BEHR COPPER FORCE interior paint takes that quality to a new level! I selected Greige, which is a perfect blend of gray and beige! It was well mixed, went on with one coat coverage and was dry within a half hour! I love that this paint kills 99.9% of germs and viruses and will continue to do that for 6 years! This paint has a light sheen and wipes clean easily! The new color looks great!

Pretty
This arrived fast and well packaged. We have been waiting for our room to be finished so we could get it painted. This paint was easy to use and love the pouring spout that came with it. Our family are very big Behr brand supporter’s and truly love the low to no odor, dry time in case you need or want to put a second coat on. We used some primer ( a new drywall wall) if you have prior painting experience you know putting a layer of primer on before painting will help the color stay without using a lot of paint.

Nice color. Low odor. Applies easily. Good coverage.
This virucidal paint from Behr claims to provide an extra layer of protection against bacteria and viruses within 2 hours of exposure, for up to six years. While the antimicrobial properties of the paint may be well and good, I selected this paint due to Behr’s reputation for producing high-quality paints and because I liked the French silver color for my half-bathroom. The eggshell finish has a dull sheen to it, which I really like. The virucidal properties, while less of a determining factor for me, it is nonetheless an added benefit. The can the paint comes in is innovative, in that a plastic pour spout is included for easy pouring with no drippy mess of paint left on the side of the can, and its low VOC, so the odor isn’t as noxious as paints that are not rated low VOC. You can still remove the lid to paint directly from the can, if desired. The lid is plastic and can be opened and closed without damaging the lid, unlike metal lids that can dent and allow air to contaminate and significantly shorten the shelf life of the paint. The paint mixes well and applies smooth, with good coverage. The French silver color is warm and coordinates very with white trim and other wall colors that are on a neutral color palette. The paint has good coverage and a little goes a long way. I used about ¼ of the gallon can for my half-bathroom, so I plan to finish the can by painting my upstairs and downstairs hallways, and stairwell.

Amazing paint

This is some quality paint. I'm very interested and amazed with the fact that paint in made now to kill viruses and bacteria. Such amazing technology, it's impressive. This paint goes on well with good coverage. I probably could have gotten away with one coat it was that good but decided to do two coats anyway. It's a paint and primer combo so that saves a step in the process and it doesn't have any harsh smell other than the typical paint smell that goes away fairly quickly. I got this in the greige color which is a nice warm color

This is some quality paint. I'm very interested and amazed with the fact that paint in made now to kill viruses and bacteria. Such amazing technology, it's impressive. This paint goes on well with good coverage. I probably could have gotten away with one coat it was that good but decided to do two coats anyway. It's a paint and primer combo so that saves a step in the process and it doesn't have any harsh smell other than the typical paint smell that goes away fairly quickly. I got this in the city gray color which is a nice warm gray.

Good fetures, unable to use in time
I ran out of time in actually using this paint since we must submit a review in 20 days. So this is limited to describing some features.

First there is the interesting pouring spout that came with the can. You use the spout to unscrew the center plug in the top. Then you attach the spout. Both operations involve screwing or unscrewing the parts. This makes it easier to avoid clogging the lid rim with paint. Of course you should wash off the spout each time. The instructions say to never pour this paint into another container but I assume that is the purpose of the spout. This paint is classified as a pesticide evidently.

Second there is a formula for mixing this paint that you can use to order more in this color "Greige" (gray/beige). The base paint can is marked with the original volume (under 1 gallon). The added tint colors make up the rest of the gallon. In this case the tint colors are black, white, yellow and red. See the label.

Same Great Quality Paint
I think this paint would serve as the best of both worlds. It is the same quality paint as you would get from the other Behr varieties, but also Virucidal and Antibacterial.
I would also like to point out while this protects humans, it is also a great paint to use if you foster animals or own an animal rescue. It also protects against feline viruses as well.
If you have a high volume bathroom, I would definitely suggest using this paint instead of regular paint as well. This eggshell is still a scrubb-able finish, but fore more maximum cleaning and protection maybe consider semi-gloss finish. Semi-gloss does not look as nice so I went with egg-shell.

For the immunocompromised a great paint
Wanted for a family member with a weakened immune system this was used in a guest house. The first photo is a test done on a scrap 2x4 with a conventional primer as the label calls for two coats or use of a primer. Results looked very good so that is what was done in the remodeled areas. The balance of the guest house interior was a very similar color and the coverage was excellent with just one coat. Expensive compared to most paint but worth it to this family for care of their immunocompromised loved one.

Great Coverage
I have never used a black or this deep colored paint, but the coverage of the copper force is wonderful. I tested on a small sample to see how much was soaked up by our new wall. As you can see the wet versus dark has a shine versus matte finish. We are using this in the basement so hoping the anti-bacterial quality of the paint helps with the humidity during the summer. This black color turned out wonderful on our fireplace wall for the basement living room.
