This is a large and fairly heavy unit, plenty sturdy for your largest flat-scree TV. The shelves hold video equipment or DVDs, etc. and the "fireplace" is a very nice touch, but I'm surprised how practical the heater is. When we are viewing a movie on a chilly evening the heater is just right for taking off the chill without having to bump the heat on for the whole house. The assembly was not an easy process and a couple of steps were nearly impossible. See the picture of the stripped screws and heed the warning to pre-drill the holes. This is a great bookshelf/fireplace... For those of you that always wanted a fireplace this is as close as you can get without actually having one, One of the great things is you can shut off the heat and still have the fire.. The kit is assembled in less then an hour, not hard at all... I would give it a difficulty level of 3-4. A total of 10 or 12 pcs, some cam-lok screws and regular wood screws. All you need to put it together is a good phillips head screwdriver. Once assembled you insert the fireplace and put the logs and glitter rocks in, and just plug it in.. Check out the pics below to see it in action.. And at the price it is you're getting a good deal for a nice product that also helps keep you warm..

I have a 50-50 feeling when it comes to this console. As many mfg. now put just pictures for directions with no verbiage...at times, this was frustrating to put together! The console itself, although in many pieces....was "just follow the pictures"...and you are able to assemble without any issues. It was the fireplace that stumped me, to the point I had to walk away and then come back...twice. To this day, I'm still not sure where the rocks go (they are actually, pieces of clear plastic in the size of large pebbles) and that's fine since they would have taken away from the overall look...the directions keep showing arrows on where the log went and I finally decided, it wasn't supposed to actually "fit" in the designated area...and so I had to prop it into where I thought it went.....guess after-all the "head scratching", that's where it's supposed to go. Now some positive comments: I've included a picture of the "fire"...it really, no I mean really looks real. The piece is a nice size and it substantial in length. I actually am not using it as a console it's not that high...but if your room is conducive to something that's not quite 3' high....this is for you. I'm recommending this because the finished product is really nice and once you get it put together....is a great addition to any room. Hope this helps.

This entertainment system is nicely made has space to accommodate multiple entertainment devices. This is one of the few you build furniture pieces that was machined perfectly. All the holes lined up nicely and were sized right for all connection pieces. The instructions are weak very little guidance. The couple of things I learned is that you will need a second person to help with the installation of the cabinet for the fireplace. Note that all the arrows are pointing upward on each piece for proper positioning and once installed take stickers off before you completely assemble. A power screwdriver will be most helpful in your overall assembly. Note don't screw the anchor screws too tight it will throw them out of alignment for assembly. Light touch is all it takes. The finish is nice and comes with a touch up pen for those unsightly opps that occurs during assembly. Now to the fire place. Don't expect much it does have two options either a log look or a rock look. Easy to assemble and install in entertainment system. Fun touch to the unit and it does heat or just lights up. Overall the unit met my needs for a simple yet functional entertainment unit for my room.

Once complete turned heater on after 30 seconds heater tripped off, tried to restart and would not restart until unit cooled off. We tried again heater unit ran for 30-40 seconds and tripped off. Called Twinstar to look for assistance rep took info and said a tech would call shortly. A week went by and no tech call so I called tech support again they found my ticket number and rep seemed to be aware of issue with heater so I asked to have new heater assembly shipped, the order was created and the heater is backordered with no idea when they will get the part.

Very easy to put together, the hardest thing was finding out where the crystals went. The crystals go on the bottom and the log sits on top of them. It looks really good in the dark, and it warms the room up quite nicely.

Very nice good heat and it gives cozy atmosphere.

This was easier to put together then I thought it would be. My daughter and I were able to accomplish this in 1 afternoon. The product is of good quality and the color goes well with my decor. I am looking forward to watching a nice fire during the winter nights.

It looks a little cheesy but for the price this is a great stand for the tv. It adds ambiance and heat. I would recommend.
