What is the hail impact rating? 20% of the US (Great Plains) is now Very Severe Hail risk rated and need hail impact rated doors and windows.
Nick, Garage doors do not follow a hail impact rating like roofing materials, rather follow a wind load rating. Clopay has a comprehensive windcode program for most all of our residential products. The ratings start at W1 and go all of the way up to W9. It is common for us to sell a W1 or W2 in the plain states of KS and Neb, and you contact your local Home Depot to find out more on which windcode would be right for you. From there select Coachman Collection and then build the door with the features you want. Are there any door handles (and other hardware) available in WHITE, instead of black? If not, can I safely replace the supplied black handles with my own choice of hardware? What would be the center-to-center (or screw-to-screw) distance for replacement purposes? OR, would I be better off ordering the door without handles, and installing my own handles, hinges, etc, as selected?
