Q:Does this have a solid copper conductor or is it cooper clad steel, also can you remove the ?F? Type RG6 coax connector, cut the cable to a shorter length and reattach the ?F? Type RG6 coax connector by using a compression tool?

            Answer This Question

A:  Hi,Thanks for your question.Sorry for delay reply since the system problem. The central conductor of this coaxial cable is copper - clad steel. Since the F-type plug is pure metal material with high shielding performance and the F-type plug is waterproof, we do not want you to remove the F-type plug. If you need a shorter coaxial line, we recommend you to choose a 25FT coaxial cable. If you must remove the F plug, cut the cable short and reconnect the F plug, then you will need to repurchase the other F plug and use the compression tool to type the RG6 coaxial connector. You can contact vineenl@yumin.com freely if you have any questions. Best Regards Anita Zhuang

I hooked the cable up and nothing happened. We called in the satellite company only to find out the connector on the cable had a short in it. Since it was already run I just left it rather than return it.

We recently cut our cable, as many people are doing now. Our computer consultant set up HD HomeRun for streaming and DVR service and we installed an antennae on our roof for 135 local channels. We are very pleased with the coaxial cable from Home Depot and our decision to discontinue Dish Network.
