Does the cover of a bathtub drain have to be removed to use this? I can't seem to get mine unscrewed.
I was able to get it through the little holes if I remember correctly, brushing, pulling debris out; however, I was unable to get the type of cleaning accomplished if I had removed the cover. Some of the debris just got caught in the drain cover as I pulled the brush out.
No, I've been able to use it effectively through the existing holes of my bathtub drain.
