Is the natural ash BLACK?
This faux wood beam is available in Aged Ash, not natural ash. Aged Ash is not black. It is a grayish brown color.
Can you please confirm the stain color for the attached picture? I took it off of the Ekena Millwork website? I think it is Natural Cedar, but I wanted to make sure before I order. Thanks

The measurements listed, is that the inside width or the entire width? If it is the entire width how can i figure out just the inside? I would like to cover an existing beam.

The interior dimensions are listed under the "specifications" section on the product page, but the material thickness is about 1", so the interior dimension on a U shaped beam is 2" smaller on the width and 1" smaller on the height.
How thick is the material on the beam? I.E. how much space on each side of the beam is needed for the cover to fit ?

How do I stain ambrosia maple wood beam
Thank you for your interest in our product. To stain these faux wood beams we recommend using water based or quality gel stain. To start, you would prepare the surface by cleaning with a clean rag dampened with mineral spirits, and then apply the stain directly to the beam with a brush. Then you would want to blend the colors using a clean, dry short bristle brush along the grain, wiping away excess stain with a clean towel. Repeat this process until desired color is reached and let dry!
I am attempting to cover I-beams that are 5.25"w by 9.25"h what size would you recommend or is there another product I should be looking at?

So in order to wrap that size beam you would need to order a beam with an exterior width of 8" or larger, and a height of 11" or higher. Good luck on your project!
