About This Product

Everbilt Paracord Rope is ideal for camping, hiking and other outdoor activities. You can braid a survival bracelet from paracord and unravel it when cordage is needed. It has a great combination of strength and durability for a lightweight rope. Some of the dozens of practical uses for paracord include: making a tarp ridgeline, securing equipment to a backpack or a vehicle, making a shelter, replacing shoelaces, making a clothesline, hanging food while camping, marking a trail, and making an emergency tourniquet. Always keep at least 50 ft. of paracord on hand.

Highlights

  • General purpose utility cord
  • Lightweight and strong for maximum durability
  • Contains polypropylene, nylon and polyester
  • Working load limit of 160 lbs.

      This is NOT 550 Paracord
If you are looking for Milspec paracord for serious projects (like survival gear) then this is not what you want. It has a working load of only 160 pounds, less than 1/3 of real 550 Paracord. Its fine for light duty projects where you just need to lash something up, but be aware of what you are buying.

      Low quality
If you are use to using mil spec paracord for your cordage needs do not waste your time with this. The center cord is a mass of nylon fibers not individual strands as quality para cord is. Also, the outer shield frays quickly under stress. Finally when you burn the ends to seal them the shield burns way faster that the inner core creating a mess.

        Not real paracord
Cheap. It looks good, but I noticed that the core and sheath melt at different rates instead of uniformly like real cordage does. After rechecking the package, it states that it's not 100% nylon (which real paracord is). It also only has 3 inner weaves instead of the 7 that real paracord contains. My niece likes to make bracelets and what not, but the melting issue makes it difficult to finish quality pieces. I would recommend it for for light duty tie downs and what not, but if you want cordage for an actual survival situation or for bracelets...get it elsewhere.

        Excellent product.
Paracord is paracord, but you just have to love the selection of colors and the extremely low price at Home Depot. I tried to get the same length from another hardware store, they literally wanted 3 times as much for it. I used it for a DIY hammock I made and it worked wonderfully.
