Questions & Answers

What surface area will 16 oz cover? It mentions 10 linear feet but how wide is that 1 in maybe 3 in?

Answer This Question

Hey there! One pound (16 fl. oz.) of Flex Paste covers approximately 20 ft² with a layer thickness of 1/16th inch. However, Flex Seal Liquid may be a better fit for square feet coverage https://flexsealproducts.com/blogs/how-to/how-to-use-flex-seal-liquid. Answer This Question

Hi David! Do not use water to clean Flex Paste. Before it cures, Flex Paste can be cleaned with a dry cloth. If necessary, most residues can be removed with alcohol, acetone, or mineral spirits. Tools may also be cleaned the same way as needed. When using solvents, be sure to read and follow instructions. If you have any other questions or concerns, send us an email at humans@flexsealproducts.com. We're always here to help!

Summarized by generative AI from text of customer reviews

Customers say that Flex Seal Flex Paste is a versatile and effective sealing solution for various household repairs, particularly for leaks and cracks. Many users appreciate its strong adhesion and waterproof properties, noting its ease of application. However, a common concern is that a significant portion of the product often hardens in the container, leading to waste. Overall, while the product performs well when fresh, customers recommend using it all at once to avoid issues with drying out.

                  Terrible
We used this Flex Paste made by FLEX SEAL in our shower. It did not even last a month and it was 100% applied correctly. It dried and was pealing away from the wall and water was leaking behind the shower. It was a complete waste of money and A LOT of time.

                    Dry on delivery
I purchased this as an in-store pickup item. Upon opening the container, all of the product was completely dry—not just the top layer. I stuck a screwdriver from top to bottom, and it came out clean. This product might be great. I'll never know. This was very frustrating as I had counted on this product to solve an immediate problem.

                      It works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since it’s a paste, it’s a little thick. But it works! We had a leaky pipe under the sink, we put the paste on one layer and an hour later, no more leaks. Received this product for free.

                        Sticky mess
Trying to use this gunk around bilco door and foundation. Not great in tight spot. Very hard to spreed as it sticks to everything, every tool and gloved hands. I have a bunch of clumps of paste in corners were the door unit meets foundation and patio surrounding the unit. Awful. PS. Use this all in one day because no matter what you do it’s a hard sticky ball the next day. GARBAGE

                            Easy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve seen this product so many times but never used it until now. We had a leaky and constantly moving spot from the outside wall around a spigot and I applied this around the faucet and in the space between the wall. It worked wonderfully! It sealed the space up and the faucet no longer moves and was super easy to do. Next up….craft projects!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value product, I have used it in the past on multiple applications and it does a great job sealing out water and it is very easy to use. Just make sure you wash your hands and follow the directions. It was also easy to paint once you allowed it to dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this. We have a hose with a little hole in it and decided to try it. It didn't work. We put several layers and let dry with no luck.
