About This Product

Our angel food cake pan has a removable bottom to help you remove the cake from the pan easily. The high tube in the center of the pan conducts heat to the center of the batter, an area which otherwise might be undercooked when the outside of the cake begins to brown. This makes it ideal for a fast-cooking angel food cake or for cakes with heavy batter such as a pound cake.

        This pan for angel food cake requires you turn the pan upside down on an oven safe bottle. The hole in the middle of the pan is too small for any bottle. I tried small soda bottle, beer bottle, cider bottle, several shapes & sizes. Did a man who doesn't bake design this pan? Big disappointment . Other than that the weight is heavy duty hopefully the nonstick feature works.

            I thought this was a 1 piece pan. It was not as it had a removeable bottom. Not good for thinner batters as it leaks. It is very well made. I just wish it would have stated that it was a 2 piece in the description.

            Nice pan except.......
            The cake pan did not cook the batter evenly. The top was a beautiful golden brown. When I turned the cake out on a plate the bottom and the sides were burned. The recipe I used had 1 cup of chopped nuts on the bottom of the pan and they were all burned. I would recommend this with the advice to lower the oven temperature.
