Questions & Answers

I have water spraying out of the diverter and can't seem to find help anywhere. I installed as instructed. I have tried lots of tape, normal tape, hand tightening, wrench tightening and nothing is working. Suggestions?

Answer This Question

I have installed the 3 way diverter and I can't tighten enough that it doesn't move. I have tightened the set screw and it's still slightly loose!?

Could this be used for a hand held bidet if the threads match up?
    ByAug 14, 2024
    1 Answer |
    Answer This Question

Hello Spuds, As long as the threads can be screwed on and it makes a secure connection it would work yes. Keep in mind since it is a 3 way diverter you wouldn't want to leave one of the connection points exposed.

We can not turn the deverter knob. Is was ok when new, but now can no longer turn it by hand. Is there any way of freeing it up?

            Answer This Question

I would try removing it and put some CLR in all of the openings and let it soak overnight. Once it frees up you could put some lube in the openings (like a silicone spray).

Summarized by generative AI from text of customer reviews

Customers say the diverter is easy to install and reasonably priced, making it a popular choice for converting regular showers to handheld units. Many appreciate its functionality and design, although some have experienced issues with leaks and durability, particularly with plastic components. Overall, while the product performs well initially, there are concerns about its longevity and the quality of materials used.

                Can't hold up handheld
                1. The handheld holder did not fit the tapered shape of my handhelds hose. I had to buy a new hose in order to use this diverter valve. 2. The valve holder can't hold weight of the handheld. The only two positions that the valve holds is either pointing spray straight down or straight at back wall, neither of which works for me. Any other position and it falls straight down at the floor.

                  Absolute Garbage
The switch is attached to the diverter by what I can only imagine is Elmer's glue. My first one broke after a few months; the switch blew off, sending water all over. Thankfully it didn't shatter my glass shower door. Bought a replacement, and the switch broke off in the same way when I was just installing it. You'd get better value by lighting a $20 bill on fire than you would buying this garbage.

                      Disappointed
Looks great with the new shower head we purchased as well. Picked this up 2 weeks ago and it is leaking like a sieve now between valve and and part that screws to the wall pipe.

                        Good quality product
This served my purpose. Wanted to add a hand held shower with the existing shower head on two bathrooms. Good quality product. This is for the brushed nickel part. It has a separate screw to tighten using the provided Allen key, makes it easier to screw it to the main pipe without trying to turn the entire fixture. Bought the hand held separately.

Did exactly what I was aiming for. Now my shower has 2 shower heads, one up high and one for body spray. It's easy to change between heads or have both on at the same time.

It only Mounts one way. I was hoping the handheld shower could be on either side, left or right.
