I ordered on line and picked up at store that same day!
Online is the best way seems like nowadays
Online on HD website.
Yes, you can add extensions to this cord but remember to keep under the amp load of the entire extension. For a 16/3 cord for 0 to 50 foot, it is 13 Amps. Add up alll the loads you have plugged in and stay under 13 Amps.
Yes. Tree lights are such low power that you can use more than one of these for sure.
Im not an expert, but say yes without hesitation. I didn’t plug mine into an extension cord, but into a very short “extension cord” that allows me to turn my outdoor lights on/off with a remote control.
I have mine plugged into a timer. Just remember the more distance the less power
Yes
Yes, you should protect each outlet, either used or unused. I buy barrel type shields that fit over the connection and keeps it water tight. These can also be purchased at HD. I also use one to cover any unused socket ends. If you can't find the covers, I use electrical tape to cover the junction or open end to keep the water out.
Put the plastic baby safe plug in it, and wrap with electrical tape, or drape in an over arch by using a small ziptie to hold it to the side of a post, or railing
They sell a plug to cap it off
I just use a plug cap similar to what is used for childproofing outlets.
I put a small baggie over the unused plug. Zip style works well.
As long as you do not need more than 13 amps, it will be fine. Best for equipment rated at less than 11 or 12 amps.
It depends on the amp draw of the saws. Any 16/3-gauge cord between 0 and 25 feet long will adequately handle tool loads up to about 12 amps. Look at the faceplate of the saws to see the amp draw of the saws. I think you would be better off using a 12/3 - gauge extension to be sure, especially with the table saw. This should handle up to 20amps. A 14/3 -gauge 25' extension should be able to handle around 16 Amps.
Not sure but I believe it would work. I used for outdoor Christmas lights..they don’t draw a lot of power. So again not sure.
I don't know, you need to contact Home Depot customer service.
Didn't see one.
Yes there is a shorter version but still rated for outdoor but can be used for indoors also. They were hard to find in store, it was Not near the rest of extensions but located near Christmas decorations and lights. I'm very happy with the multi directional unit and it solved a problem I was having.
I don’t believe there is, but may I suggest you contact the manufacturer!
Please, call The Home Depot for answers to your question since I am not an electrician thank you.
Yes with 110v converter but make sure you don’t overload the system.
if your electrical is 110 or a transformer is used.
Eurpoa will have a different plug and it is going to be a 240vac outlet.
I put mine away after Christmas but I would guess that 30+ feet is the main cord then the 3 branches are about 3-4 feet long. I initially thought the branches were really short but they are very useful with the 3-4' lengths. I was very pleased when I used this for my light this year.
6'
Length of cord before the breakout is 22 ft. After the breakout each cord is 6 ft. Hope that helps.
The description of the item indicates that it is 40ft. long. However in reality, and in the secondary description, it is 22ft. long from the male end to the splitter. And then each of the three outlet cords are 6ft. long. So really 28ft. in length. You only get to 40ft. if you you count each of the 6ft lengths together, plus the 22ft. I would call that deceptive.
I have bought a couple of versions. This one from Home Depot had a cord that was about 20' from the junction of the three lines to the plug. Each individual line up to the junction was about 5 1/2'. This version is fabulous, as the longer main cord is very nice!
22ft
The shorter runs are about 5' each. The majority of the cord is prior to the hub.
It is a 16/3 cable and that is rated normally rated for 13 amps. It is a bad idea to run a cable at the full rated power level.
claims to be OK for 15 amps with 16/3 AWG on 120VAC.
Dear, The rating for this cord is 125V, 13A, 1625W, so the amp is 13A
I know right - Their overview says 15 amp three times and 13 amp once. They are referring to the short 6 foot legs being capable of handling 15 amps but the main 22 foot long cable is only capable of handling 13 amps. The truth is, like a chain the extension cord as a whole is only as strong as it's weakest link. 13 amps is the maximum current this extension cord can handle. BTW - It is in the specifications as 13 amps Maximum.
It is rated at 13 amps
