Hampton Bay 40 in. Contemporary Brushed Nickel Dimmable Integrated LED Flush Mount for Kitchens

This light never worked when we brought it home and took it out of the box. We did not find out that the light does not work until we spent 45 minutes installing it. I would never recommend buying this light to anyone. This light was made in China and the quality is terrible.

Fairly easy install when replacing a flush mount fixture, 1 person can do it but much easier with 2. Very nice looking , not fancy but clean and blends in with the white ceiling . Seems considerably brighter than the four tube 48 in. fluorescent fixture it replaced . We are very happy with this light and would highly recommend it . LED so there will savings of electricity as well.

Nice clean, warm light in a simple but elegant package with light weight but solid construction. It would be great for somewhere like over a kitchen island or where a little extra light is needed. The ~ 4 3/4 inch height makes the light unobtrusive. One big thing to keep in mind is that you must put 6 holes in your ceiling. As light as it is they could probably have used only the two screws normally used for a light, but the six anchor points would help keep the fixture tight to the ceiling. There is an included tether to hold the fixture while you wire it up. I didn't like the amount/spread of light for my intended purposes, so I instead installed it in my mother's laundry room where it was a welcomed addition. Getting the diffuser on is a bit of a pain. It doesn't use the slot/pin or hinge method like most large fixtures. Instead it uses four thumb screws that can be difficult to get started if your working by yourself. The fit of the diffuser to the base is very tight and should prevent any insects from climbing in as long as you take the added precaution of sealing the corners with some tape before installation.

This 4 foot led light gives off good light. It is more stylish than a standard bulb florescent or led light. The brushed nickel over the shade gives it a high quality look. It was easy to install. It is well made. It was a little heavier than other lights I have installed. So much that it had a lanyard you attach to help hold it in place as you install the wires. It installed flush. All hardware was included. There were six screws and the anchors to install if needed. It took a 1/4" drill bit to install the anchors. So the light is very secure on the ceiling. Overall, this was my final choice for the light in our walk in closet. It gives off plenty of light to see the clothes.

Replaced some 15 year old track lighting in my galley kitchen, and what a difference. For years we have disliked our track lighting but not enough to swap it out. Finally the team came, and so glad we made the change. The light is so much more uniform. It produces a 'hint of yellow' (closer to white than yellow) light that covers the kitchen nicely. The looks are great. Metal end caps with a metal strip down the middle. The white diffuser is made of plastic, (why I took 1 star off quality). You hang it using screws and slide the light onto the screws. Wiring it up was straight forward and the light even comes with a safety cable - so if the light shifts for whatever reason (earthquake?) it won't dangle from the power connections, but from the safety wire instead. I'm very pleased with the look and light of this light.

Very bright light! I ordered this to go over my workbench to replace an old 8' florescent tube fixture. It arrived in perfect condition, was very easy to install (2 power feeds & 1 ground feed). It comes with all the necessary hardware to attach it to the ceiling and includes wire caps too! It's very bright and attractive too. The pictures below don't really do justice to how bright it is but I'd say 10X brighter than my old 2 tube 8' fixture. I like this light!!

The Hampton Bay 96 watt LED Ceiling mount light is a stylish addition to your home. The fixture has three LED strips that run end to end. The light is gently diffused so it fills the room with soft light with minimal harsh shadows. The fixture easily comes apart into two pieces by removing four thumb screws. The fixture frame is very lightweight and easy to hang. The diffuser easily slips onto it and fastens using four thumb screws. I used this fixture to replace a single 40 watt fluorescent lamp. With the diffuser shade on it is about the same brightness. Without the diffuser it is easily twice as bright. Overall the fixture looks great but it's not as bright as two 40 watt fluorescent lights

Nice light...needs to be easier to install.

This light was a replacement for a simple cheap kitchen flourescent light that was broken during a remodel. This unit is very pretty and very bright. It brightened up our kitchen so much that we did not need to add track lighting we thought we'd need to make a difference. No more gloomy spots in the room - anywhere! It was very easy to install and a great bargain at $99 on sale. We've had it in place for a couple weeks now and we love it!
