Marina Black 7 ft. x 10 ft. Outdoor Patio Area Rug

This rug measures 8 feet by 5 feet and is designed for outdoor use. It is available in The base color is tan and you can buy this rug in a variety of pattern colors to go with the tan, including black, red, blue, pink, green, and orange. The rug has antimicrobial properties to help reduce mold buildup. The weave type used is a loop weave, also known as a pile weave, which makes this rug suitable for high traffic areas. You can place this rug on your deck or porch or patio and it will stand up quite nicely to the elements. The measurements of the rug is actually slightly smaller than 8x5; they are actually a few inches shy of those dimensions. The rug arrives packaged in a very strong plastic roll (see photo) which protects it quite nicely during shipment. I placed this rug on top of an indoor/outdoor rug mat (see photos) to help the rug to breathe underneath and add additional resistance to the elements. This rug mat is not required but is also available from Home Depot. Once you place your rug you may need to weigh down the edges to uncurl them (result of the shipping process). I found that they uncurled within a few hours. In one of the photos you can see that I used some patio chairs to weigh down an edge. Note how perfectly the colors of the rug match the chairs! This rug has already easily withstood multiple rain showers on my deck and has dried out quite nicely in the sun without fading. We are very happy with this rug.

This is a nice high contrast area rug. We are using it in a high traffic area of our living room, and it has been great. It's relatively thin, so it isn't a trip hazard, and it lays perfectly flat and the edges don't show any signs of curling. The rug appears to have a stiff plastic mesh core, with fibers woven through that mesh. That makes the rug nice and stiff / rigid, so the rug cannot get pushed up or bunched up, and stays flat. The rug arrived rolled up tightly, so it did take a few days for it to lie completely flat, but it did flatten out just fine. The rug does not have any type of non-slip backing, so it can slide if placed on a smooth hard floor. We have it on a porcelain tile floor, and it was moving a bit, so put commercial double sided carpet tape around the perimeter of the bottom of the rug and it no longer moves at all. One very minor criticism: the colors. The rug is named "Marina Black", so I expected the dark pattern on the rug to be black. But it's actually a dark gray color. At first this bothered me, but I quickly got over it, and think it looks perfectly fine--from a few feet in normal indoor light, it looks nearly black. Also related to the color--in the photos, the rug looked like it had a tan background. While it does, there are red fibers woven under the tan fibers, which gives the background a slight orange / red color in bright light. Again, this bothered me a little bit when I first got the rug, but I don't notice it at all now and the rug looks great. As long as you are prepared for colors that, under close inspection, look slightly different than the photo, it is a great rug. And one unexpected feature: When my wife walked on the rug, she really liked the feel on her feet for some reason. The rug has a fair amount of texture, with the coarser weave of the tan background, and the raised softer dark gray carpet-like fibers providing a nice contrast, and a nice alternative to our smooth tile floors. My wife likes the rug, so I'm happy with the rug as well.

Although this was advertised as an outdoor rug, we're using it in a bedroom to replace an ancient rug that was falling apart. The pattern/design is eye-catching and it fit the space we needed very nicely. The neutral and black color combo seems like it could work in a variety of different rooms and decor. We are very happy with it so far. Its comfortable as it is but we'll give it some time and see if we need to put a pad underneath.

Nice Indoor Outdoor area rug. The label attached claims to have many colors in the weave. I only see a subtle cherry red or strawberry pink in the weave. They are very subtle for sure. Size of the rug is 5'3" x 7'6". Made of Polypropylene Pile and Made in Egypt. Seems to be easily cleaned whether it be from a spill or normal required cleaning. Just use a mild soap and blot the spill or normal cleaning mild soap and water then rinse with a garden hose. I like this rug.

Wow, this rug transforms a concrete and block wall space from something cold and hard to a handsome, modern-looking place to spend time. Home Decorators Collection’s Marina area rug looks fantastic and has antimicrobial properties to improve its durability outside, and is made from stain resistant polypropylene with a high-resistance to fading. The nice, tight weave is consistent and kicking my shoes off is now a good idea since I won’t be on bare concrete. We’re pleased with the Marina area rug and look forward to many seasons with this handsome rug.

This 5ft by 8 ft. outdoor rug is perfect for a small sitting area. I put it on my front porch with two chairs and a table between. The rug has a rough "straw like" background with a raised pattern made from a more traditional carpet material. The rug was rolled very tightly and wrapped with thick plastic. It was a little bit difficult to unpack and unroll. I still have some heavy things weighing down the corners because they have not laid flat yet. I think with the heat from the sun and pressure it will be fine.

Looks great, but the raised texture can be surprising, and I had issues with quality. From a distance, this is a stunning outdoor carpet, perfect for the outdoor porch. The neutral colors and interesting conservative pattern is perfect. That I really like. However, I had a few issues. 1) The texture is highly raised. If you tend to scuff your feet, it is really annoying. The web picture shows less raised area than I expected. My attached photos may help. 2) I can't get the edge to relax. It has been almost three weeks since unrolling, and the edge is still curling. I'm hoping the upcoming sun and hot summer finally gets the edge down. 3) There is a weaving defect and a pink thread comes through. I'll have to cut it out. Photo attached. Made in Egypt

I ordered this rug to place under our new patio set we just got from Home Depot. We have it sitting on a concrete slab. The photo I attached shows it on my dining room. It was raining outside when it arrived and I wanted to see it opened in the light. This rug is most definitely not an indoor rug, it slides across the tile floor if you step on it. When the rain stopped we place it on the concrete patio and it did not slide much and with the weight of the metal patio set it stayed in place. The material almost feels like it has a plastic coating on it to prevent it from getting ruined by the weather. It really does look nice on our patio and brightens up a once dull area. Worth the price and I would recommend it.
