Pompton 12 in. 1-Light Gold Semi-Flush Mount Ceiling Light Fixture with White Ribbed Glass

The perfect mix of retro meets modern with brass and the curved flute rib design. The light it gives off using either warm or white bulbs is good either way. Replaced all my flush mounts with these in my hallway, bathroom and eventually in the kitchen.

This a basic lighting fixture that will look well and function well in any room, entry or hallway. It comes complete with all necessary installation mounting hardware. Also includes easy to follow assembly and mounting instructions. The white opaque glass globe is ribbed and will let lots of light into any room where you decide to mount it. Lamp changing when needed is very easy through the opening in the bottom

Wow! I’m really impressed with this light fixture. We chose this one to go in our kitchen above the sink. We are slowly remodeling the kitchen and updating the light fixtures is part of the scope of work. When looking for new fixtures we wanted an old world, vintage style, but with a modern twist. This met all of our requirements. I am really impressed with the design and quality of the glass used on the globe. It’s more of a fluted style providing a timeless, classic look. I’ve looked at high end lighting retailers and this looks it’s from their showroom. Gotta love the HD price tag too!

The Monteaux Lighting gold semi-flush mount is a midcentury modern look ceiling light. This light combines brass base with a ribbed white glass shade that looks really nice and also puts out a soft even light. This light uses one standard E26 base light bulb (not included) so you can put any style / color light bulb you choose (60 watt max), and the bottom of the glass is open so bulb access is quick and easy. Suitable for indoor, dry locations only. Installation is easy with the included universal style mounting bracket. The lamp hangs down a total of 11 inches and the glass shade is approximately 12 inches in diameter.

I was going to replace a ceiling light fixture with this one, but I immediately noticed that the glass globe was larger than I expected. The dimensions on the product page are correct, I just didn't pay enough attention to them and I didn't think that 12" was going to look the way it did! The bottom of the glass globe is open, which makes installing or replacing the light bulb easy, but with LEDs these days, you shouldn't have to replace bulbs very often. You'll need to buy a standard A19 / E26 light bulb for this since it doesn't come with a bulb. Obviously don't look up when you're under it since you'll be blinded by the light. Glass is unique with the ridges and allows some diffusion of the light. What I like most about this fixture is that the plate mounts directly flush to the electrical box by using machine screws. No figuring out spacing or adjustments needed, as long as you are starting with a fairly flush box to the ceiling with enough space all around. The plate is large enough to cover the entire opening, so shouldn't be any surprises there. Then you can wire the fixture (while letting it dangle, it's not too heavy) and then mount the fixture to the plate. Then use the side screws to secure the fixture to the plate. Probably the most challenging part is just getting those side screws started, but they are large enough to start with your bare hands. Then carefully install the glass globe and screw in the holder from the large opening of the globe. I've installed many fixtures and I can tell that this one is not nearly as difficult as many others, so that's a plus. Just watch out for the size and make sure it will fit for what you need. You may also need to consider how the light shines through the glass, hopefully some other reviews will have pictures of that.

This light fixture was installed in my kitchen, and it looks great. The cost was also reasonable.
