Trinidad Orange 7 ft. x 10 ft. Indoor/Outdoor Patio Area Rug

I am totally delighted with the new Indoor/Outdoor rug that I received recently. I plan to use it outdoors near the main entrance. I love that it is weather proof, and also fade proof. Very easy maintenance due to the 100% polypropylene woven design. Feels great even on a hard tile floor for now, and my pets love it also. The description says it is grey, but I see more bluish/gray overtones which is really beautiful. We have enjoyed using it, and look forward to many years of continued usage. All edges are completely encased in a really tight weave, so there should be no fraying after years of use.  The brand name on the back is "Oriental Weavers" and I happen to know they have been producing quality products for many years. 

This rug has a very specific job in our house. When it rains, parts of our back yard turn into a swamp - I haven't seen any gators yet but it wouldn't surprise me. We end up with muddy paw prints (dogs, not gators) and footprints all over the house. Although the color of our tile hides some of that, it's still there (see photos). So, this carpet is there, just inside the door to absorb those wet, muddy paw / foot prints and keep the rest of the floors clean. It's a light weight indoor / outdoor rug with a backing that keeps it from slipping around on the floor. The neutral gray tones are perfect for hiding dirt, and it's large enough to absorb several steps worth of footprints so those paws and feet are mostly mud free by the time they reach the tile. When the rug gets dirty enough to notice, I can vacuum, and if it gets really dirty, I take it outside and hose it down. Laid out in the sun, it dries in a few minutes. It's an attractive, easy and inexpensive time saver that helps keep the rest of the house looking better as well.

Trinidad Grey 4 ft. x 6 ft. Indoor/Outdoor Area Rug - This rug arrived tightly rolled with the backing on the outside. To get it to lay flat, I rolled it in the opposite direction and then laid it upside down in the sun. It has a strong chemical-type smell, so we are airing outside for as long as it takes since we are planning to use it indoors for now and maybe outdoors later. The backing is woven (not latex) and will need a pad to stay in place on our wood floor. The label on the back says to use a pad - even outdoors. We didn't know that they sell an outdoor pad let alone how will hold up or help the rug dry faster and prevent mold and mildew. The color of the rug is closer to the dark picture, not the super light colored one. The background is more taupe than brown, with medium grey flowers. We are fans of taupe colors, so we really like the grey and taupe together. The looped design has a little softness to it and has a nice feel. It's hard to capture the right colors in a picture; the grey might be a little duller in person than the picture that I took, but the background looks true to color. The size is close. It measures 3' 6-1/4" x 5' 7-3/8".

The Trinidad Grey rug is tan, not dark grey like the main online photo when I ordered it. I thought it would have a charcoal grey background with a pretty floral design of lighter greys. It looks more like the secondary photos than the main one and the product name is misleading. I was going to use it outside our front door to coordinate with our charcoal grey shutters and trim. Instead, I am going to use it indoors near our bar downstairs. It is still a pretty rug at a good price and it is decent quality but for my new use, it is not plush like other indoor rugs in that area. It is taking a little while to lie flat since it arrived tightly rolled in thick plastic.I think it would wear well either indoors or outdoors. It is a tight weave but it doesn't have a backing that will hold it in place or add thickness for indoor use. I probably need to order a rug gripper pad to add those features.

Better in person when I received it-it was perfect!

I like the design and material but it is not 4×6 as advertised. It is more like 3.5 × 5.5. Have to return it.
