The answer to the question about distance between knobs center was 8" so why does the specs say the with is 7" ?
This tub and shower is 8 inch on center.
The distance between the knobs depends on what your plumber roughed in. They could be 12/17/13/16.125/8/11.3 inches center to center, and they could be side by side or top and bottom. There is no backplate like some two handle setups, so it does not matter.
