According to the description, it does.
The LightKeeper Pro (red tool) does not work on LED lights. However, Home Depot does sell the LED Keeper (yellow tool) which does.
Renee, according to the page - that I luckily still have 3 yrson - mine will not work on LED light strings, Rope Lights, or strings with a control box. However, it has worked on my 2 older strings with multifunction boxes, sooo... That's printed on the back, to the left of the bar code. Perhaps a newer one might, I won't say. I will say for the regular light strings, this has been a God Send!
In a word, no. They make a different one for led's.
I can't answer that question as I'm not a HD employee. Every store is different so you should call your local store directly and ask about delivery options. I'm sure they can deliver to your home as well.
I went into the store to pick it up from the aisle/bin listed on the store website.
Picked mine up at the store.
Yes, I bought last week
I can't answer the question. I am only posting this response because i have had a lot of issues with the Home Depot web site, and it is good to know that i am not the only one. The web site is very untrustworthy. The only way to know for sure that your store has something is to call them up and ask them to go look, or go to the store and see for yourself. If you are attempting to purchase something online, then i wish you the best of luck.
The Home Depot has the LightKeeper Pro for Incandescent Light Set Repair and the LED Keeper for LED Light Set Repair. Both light set repair tools are also available through The Home Depot website as well for further convenience.
I picked it up at the store. After repeated attempts, i.e., repeating the sequence of 20 or so continuous clicking 3-4 times, I was able to light the once-dead light set. After that, it was a breeze to replace those burnout bulbs.
Yes, they have them at the store.
Awesome tool! I will never have strands of lights that don’t work. This tool has helped me find and fix all lights that don’t work.
Sent in honest review if this product but it was refused. Guess you only want glowing reviews
Yes, follow the instructions
Technically, Yes. You will need to make sure you are isolating the affected strand from the common power strand if you need to use the voltage sensor. Other than that, it does a great job at isolating dead bulbs. Do not try to use this on LED strings.
It does. One wire simply goes from the plug to the first bulb, the second wire goes from one bulb to the next bulb, and the third wire is like an extension cord that brings power to the next section of lights on that strand.
Wasn't able to do any good on my 3-strand tree lights with a string all unlit. Took it back for a refund.
yes.
During the Christmas season, this product will be found where the Christmas lights are located. During the off season, I doubt if this product would be available in stores. You probably can order one on line though.
The LightKeeper Pro is typically found within the Holiday/seasonal section -- potentially near the light sets or light set accessories.
With the Christmas lights for sale in the store. The most important question is this: How well does this item work?. I can tell you I got one of these about 35 yrs. ago at Kmart and it has never let me down. So recently, I picked up one for my elderly parents who want to continue using their old string lights they have had probably 50 yrs and...wahlah the miracle took place restoring their lights to function.
It was located in the area where the replacement light bulbs are. Different stores may have different locations. Should be in the area where the individual replaement bulbs/lights are located.
Found them up front by the Christmas tree setups. Although that may have changed by now.
Open the door on the handle. Pull out the 3 button batteries in the housing and replace the 3 button batteries.
Top opens up
The three button cell batteries are located underneath the push button on top of the tester. There is a little tab that you lift up to get access to the batteries
Replacement batteries cost nearly as much as the tester. It may be easier to simply buy a new tester. If you insist, the battery case/lid is top/rear. Pry it open.
The battery is located under a black push button.
