Achieve a designer look at a fraction of the cost with this stylish self-adhesive backsplash tile. Note: Inspect all tiles before installation. Natural stone products inherently lack uniformity and are subject to variation in color, shade, finish, etc. It is recommended to blend tiles from different boxes when installing. Natural stones may be characterized by dry seams and pits that are often filled. The filling can work its way out and it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure. All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer. After installation, vendor disclaims any liabilities.

Hello Mile High, Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. According to the instruction (The substrates need to be clean, compact, perfectly flat and free of dirt and cracks. Nylon or wire brush can be used in cleaning the residues on the surface. If the brush cannot remove the entire residue use bead blasting or sand blasting. Fix all the uneven area of the surface; leveling compound might be needed to make the surface perfectly flat. Small cracks can be fixed using crack suppression membrane or patch. Consult an engineer for an assessment of large cracks because this might cause problem in the future.) We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.”

This is confusing. The answer from the manufacturer states YES, they can be used in a shower and the answer from Home Depot states NO, they cannot be used in a shower due to the moisture. So, how exactly are we supposed to feel comfortable buying this product when the companies who make it and sell it cannot even agree on its application?
