Hello Chuck, No, FRP should not be used near a heat source because it would be a fire hazard. FRP panels found in Home Depot are classified as a Class-C general purpose panel, meaning little to no fire resistance. However, these FRP panels would be great in the kitchen prep area.. Can this type of panel be installed directly over metal studs?
Hello KLea, For the best appearance, our panels should be installed over flat surfaces such as plywood, osb board or dry wall. If applied directly to studs, the panels will sag over time and take on the shape of the studs underneath. Hope that helps! -Stabilit America

Hi ChefRod, the panels sold through Home Depot are recommended for indoor use only. They are a class C general purpose panel and do not have a UV coating. How to cut this panel?

I want to hang these up on a wall with a sink, toilet and urinal. How resistant are they to preventing stains from urine? We have had problems with urine stains on the walls. Marlite's Symmetrix SmartSeam FRP could resist stains better than this one.
