I absolutely love my Sawzall!! It is powerful enough to cut branches and small trees that I want to clear out and yet easy enough for me as a woman to safely handle. I recently helped a friend cut up a tree that had fallen and it worked great. The case is an added plus. I’m very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Included with the reciprocating saw is a plastic case, and the instruction manual. There are no blades included. The case is a nice included feature but even though there is some space for blades the case could use a bit better inside design for more blade storage. I got this reciprocating saw after originally buying a corded 10 Amp Ryobi which was powerful, a bit cheaper, and cut just fine but I hated the flakey blade locking mechanism which uses a plastic lever that never seem to release properly. I also have a cordless reciprocating saw (Ridgid) which works perfectly fine for most things except that on extended uses, it drains the batteries pretty quickly which necessitated an electric for bigger jobs. Although this is a bit higher (about 30 bucks) than the Ryobi, it is more powerful, comes with a case, and feels a bit more solid and better built than the Ryobi, although comparatively they both have a 5-year warranty and I had no issues with the Ryobi’s reliability. Power wise, this 12 Amp saw felt powerful and had a quick, powerful cutting stroke. It is larger and is a bit heavier than the smaller Ryobi, which is expected but its weight is still comfortable to hold for long periods. I used this saw to cut through some oak branches, tree roots and trim the base of a stump. After having some issues with some lesser quality blades, I added a carbide blade and this saw made quick work of the stump base that was approximately 8 inches in diameter, quickly and easily. Whereas the smaller Ryobi struggled a bit on larger limbs, this saw made quick work of them. Although this saw had a vibration damping mechanism, I found it to have a bit more vibration when using than the Ryobi, with the Ryobi being more comfortable in that respect. In comparison, I don’t think this saw’s motor got as hot over time as the Ryobi did. The variable speed trigger works great with no issues. Like my cordless Ridgid, this has a twist and release blade mechanism which is easy to use and easy to get my blades in and out of the saw, unlike the Ryobi’s mechanism which was a pain to use. Like the Ryobi, there is no safely locking mechanism on this to prevent accidently turning on the saw, something my Ridgid cordless saw has. Pros Powerful reciprocating saw Good cutting length Cuts quickly and easily with the right blades Well-made, durable Includes a case Easy to handle and use Reasonably priced Anti-vibration (see cons) Good 5-year warranty Easy blade release mechanism Cons: A bit more expensive than some brands Not as light weight as some and has a bit more vibration which may cause more arm fatigue Durable enough for commercial or heavy-duty use No locking safety switch No blades included Size of saw may be difficult to use in tight areas Case could use a bit more space for blade storage Not orbital 4 stars

            Great for getting out stumps!
Works great. We needed three sycamore tree stumps taken out. The tree cutter could not get his stump grinder inside our yard without dismantling our fence. A neighbor told us a sawzaw would work and it has been fast, easy and now we are planting three small trees in their place.
