Answer This Question

Hi Gpk702, Sunsatia Lemon is an annual except in zones 10 and 11, so it will only survive from Spring through frost. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact us on our hotline (734) 654-7485 or helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com. Best regards, Amanda

Can these handle a light frost?

    Answer This Question

Not sure but I don’t think so. I got mine late in early summer. They never really took off. I wouldn’t do it again, not for what I paid.

Yes, will last year round indoors.

Hi Di, The Sunsatia Lemon Nemesia plant is not considered a houseplant. However, if you are able to provide it with the right conditions indoors, it is possible that it can do very well for you. Make sure to plant them in a container with good drainage. Place them in a spot where they can receive 4-6+ hours of direct sunlight a day (a south or west facing window). Also, provide average soil moisture- not soaking wet, not dusty and dry. If you have any questions, please call our hotline (734) 654- 7485. Best regards, Fallon

I have one that gets sun for a few hours in the morning and it's doing very well. I think it could take a little more sun too

Hi Peaches, Sunsatia Blood Orange Nemesia do like the sun and prefer partial to full sun, which is at least 4-6 hours of sun a day. It would be best to plan them in an area where they will get the proper amount of sun. If you have any additional questions, feel free to call us at (734) 654-7485. Thanks, Hailee

                  Answer This Question

Hi MountainWoman, The Nemesia Susatia Blood Orange plants do not thrive in the shade. They do thrive in part sun to full sun, which is about 4-6 hours or more of sun a day. They may be able to survive in shade, but they really need sun to thrive. If you have any additional questions, feel free to call our hotline at (734) 654-7485. Thanks, Hailee

These Sunsatia Lemon (nemesia) Live Plants with Yellow Flowers is another fantastic addition to my garden! It was very simple to re-pot these plants. I decided to mix them in with another color and I was pleasantly surprised how well they blended in! They are easy to care for and the color is so vibrant! regular watering and use of a potting soil that contains fertilizer helps to keep the plants growing. So, if you are looking to spruce up your space, Proven Winners is the plant producer that you should look for for these plants.

Sunsatia Lemon live plant (annual) arrived healthy and ready to plant. Packaging was secure and included planting and care instructions. Product description on line isn't clear if flowers are perennials or annuals, a minor complaint. Proven Winners brand from Home Depot have always been reliable, and plants are heathy and thrive in my planters and gardens. See pics below.

I love the yellow/lemon color of these. They are beautiful. I got these delivered and was worried about how such delicate flowers would respond to being in a box for a few days. All four came out pretty much unharmed. I added pictures below so you can see how they were packaged. I planted all four in random flower boxes I keep on my deck and windows. It rained for a week or so after I got them and I was worried about the lack of sun on them for so long after planting. They lost almost all their flowers but as soon as we started getting some sun they sprang back to life. All four survived and look really good.

                      pretty out of the box
These flowers were delivered to the door in the box. They were beautiful, blooming, and well protected. They were not dried out; they were surprisingly moist. Be sure to plant these gorgeous nemesia within three days of arrival at your door. They are surviving well in warm (81 degree) weather with moderate humidity (57%). They are a beautiful addition to our garden.

Love Proven Winners plants. Everything i have ever received from them has arrived in excellent condition, well packed, and thrives. Their plants arrive very quickly, and really look great, even fresh from the box. These arrived practically in full bloom, and I regret not taking pictures when they arrived, because they looked amazing. I had people coming over, and I was able to replant it, and it looked like something had been growing all summer. In the past I have had to contact Proven Winners about an issue, and they fixed it and had new plants out to me the next day. Highly recommend any plant from them. Wonderful quality, and they carry a great variety of plants.
