directions show left edge adjustment but how do you adjust right edge
To set the pattern, start by turning the center cap of the rotor all the way to the right then to the left until it stops. This is the rotor's fixed left edge and identifies where the sprinkler's rotation will begin. Don't force the rotor past the fixed left edge as it may strip the internal gears. Next, rotate the entire rotor case until the left edge is in the correct starting point in your lawn to begin watering. With the water on or off, use a flat bladed screwdriver to turn the arc adjustment screw clockwise to increase the arc or counterclockwise wo decrease the arc. The pattern is adjustable from 40 degrees to 360 degrees. If the water is on, turn the arc adjustment screw only in the rotors turn direction otherwise you may damage the internal gears. Does this come with a check valve?
The Rain Bird 52SA rotor sprinkler does not come with a built-in check valve. However, Rain Bird offers models with a built-in Seal-A-Matic (SAM) check valve feature in other product lines, which can prevent low head drainage. I got this model 52SA, Is there an option to reduce distance to at least 18'? Or Do I need to buy another sprinkler for less distance?
The Rain Bird 52SA Rotor features an adjustable spray distance of 25-50 ft. If you're looking for a rotor with a spray distance of less than 20 ft., we would recommend the 32SA model. Hi, how many feet will these shoot when connected to 10GPM, and 3 in one zone, and the psi at my house is 60psi? Just wondering if i could get 35 feet with each sprinkler in that zone. Please let me know asap
You should be able to achieve 35 feet, as the nozzle included with each rotor is 3GPM, and 60psi is within the general operating range.
Do these really throw 12" more than the 42SA with the standard 3.0 nozzle? I'm getting the max 38 feet out of my 42SA's but really need closer to the 50' the 52SA are labeled as to hit one corner of my lawn. 10GPM with about 75psi gets me the full 38' with a 42SA, just wanted to know if it was worth the money to get these and if they would truly give me another 12'?
With a 3 GPM nozzle the 52SA will throw 40 feet up to 65 psi. A higher flowing 8 GPM nozzle is required to throw 50 feet.

50 ft each Direction but the spray pattern is very weak at that range I suggest 15 feet apart because the spray patterns only good about 20 ft
1ST TIME TRYING THESE POP UP'S- USED A WAND FOR YRS LOW WATER WELL PRESSURE ( 30 Psi) I HAVE A 30 FT WIDE X 50 FT LONG DOWNHILL FRONT YARD.. i ASSUME TO RUN MY WATER LINE DOWN ONE SIDE TO 25 ' AND LET IT SPRAY OUT 25 'FT AT 180 DEGREES, RIGHT? THUS WOULD ONLY HAVE TO COVER 25 FT IN ALL 3 DIRECTIONS Or Run the water line down the middle , approx 25 ft, but will only need 15" at both Width sides, but 25ft for the 50% OF THE 50 FT other 2 Long sides.. IS THIS THE CORRECT UNIT TO USE?
No they don't spray good long distance,20 ft at most to get a decent spray
