Hi Trev, thank you for reaching out to Renogy. the Renogy 12/24-Volt 20 Amp Rover Elite MPPT Solar Charge Controller doesn't have any IP ratings. Thus, it's not recommended to have the unit exposed to the elements.
Is this actually a 20amp controller? Comparable searches reveal 40amp.
