Is this rug the same with the safavieh moroccan shag?
Hi Chichi. This is not the same as the Safavieh Moroccan Shag as the shags in that collection are made with a bit of polyester where the Hudson shag is 100% polypropylene. There is also a difference in threading where the Moroccan shag uses finer threads in comparison to the Hudson shag. Thank you for your inquiry.
Does anyone feel like it is TOO thick? I really like it, but am afraid that it may be TOO fluffy?
I happen to like the thickness of our rug, having all wood floors it’s nice and comfy to lay on in front of the fireplace.
Hi Rebecca. The pile height for this rug is 2 inches thick. There are other shag collections with a lower pile height and weave density. Please consider the 'Safavieh Florida Shag' or the 'Safavieh New Orleans Shag' for thinner options. Thank you.
One carpet is more oatmeal/ivory and the last photos are more of a charcoal. Not sure which I would receive and would like to be sure to Avoid additional returns!
I think the reason it looks this way in pictures is because the fibers in the rug are made up of shades of ivory and shades of gray. When it first arrived I was fearful that the gray area was lighter than anticipated. But once I fluffed the shag it was perfect. I would say it’s lighter than a dark charcoal but it’s so easy to match other items because the rug fibers have different colors within them. Hope that’s helpful
