About This Product
SAKRETE Top'n Bond Concrete Patcher is a polymer modified sand cement repair mortar requiring only the addition of clean potable water. It is for applications from 1/2 in. (13 mm) to feather edge and can be used for refinishing, patching and general repairs to concrete/masonry. Sets in as little as 30 minutes.

Can this product be put in a 1"deep by 30" long by 3" wide mold?

Ceejay. Top N Bond does not have any flowability for molding. It may not reflect or show any features of the mold when de-molding. As you know. In most cases when molding it's trial and error. Please contact us so we gather a bit more information on what the mold is and to discuss possible product options. 1-866-SAKRETE (866-725-7383).
In the Q&A, someone asked about doing a 1.5" repair and the answer was to do three 1/2" layers, waiting an hour in between. The Sakrete information sheet says to wait 24 hours when layering repairs. Why the difference? Leveling vs. crack repair?
Should the repair be horizontal using Top N Bond at 1.5" in depth. It can be done in 1 lift/layer. Top N Bond can be applied at 2" inches in depth. Typically, the rule of thumb is to add another layer in 24 hours or wait for 28 days for a full cure. In most cases with materials that have an earlier set time or fast setting repair materials. In the video, after the Top'n Bond is applied to an expansion joint, we are instructed to score the channel, so that it remains and allows for expansion, but it looks like the Top'n Bond is still filling the joint somewhat. Is Top'n Bond flexible?

-Phylis, no Top 'N Bond is not a flexible material. It is wearable and would crack overtime with concrete slab shifting and weather as well. We would recommend using a polyurethane caulk that allows more flexibility and either weather/waterproofing or water resistant. Can this be used over paint?
