Answer This Question

Hi Mandy, after you turn on the refrigerator, let the ice maker make ice for 1 to 2 days. Over that period of time, throw out the first 1 or 2 buckets of ice the ice maker makes to ensure all impurities have been removed from the water line. Wait another 8 hours and dispense another 4 to 6 ice cubes after doing the steps above. Please see pages 33 and 43 in the manual for details about the ice maker. We’re having the same issue with the ice maker. It periodically freezes up and removing the dispenser overnight usually gets it unfrozen for about a month. Then repeat. Can the ice maker be installed in the freezer drawer like the model without in door.

Customers say the Samsung 27 cu. ft. French Door Refrigerator offers ample space and a sleek design, making it a visually appealing addition to their kitchens. However, many users have reported consistent issues with the ice maker, including freezing problems and inefficient ice production. While some appreciate the water and ice dispenser features, others find the lack of a drip tray and the slow dispensing frustrating. Overall, the refrigerator performs well in terms of cooling but has notable reliability concerns that potential buyers should consider.

Stopped cooling after only 4 years!!!
Our fridge stopped cooling after only 4 years! We have been out of a fridge for 2 months now and we contacted Home Depot protection plan and they sent us 2 different repair companies and both of them have not been able to fix the issue! These companies that they hire are so unprofessional and they waste your time! We are currently calling them AGAIN for the 3rd time to have someone come fix the fridge! The fridge isn’t cooling and the freezer isn’t freezing! If this 3rd try doesn’t work, we’re counting on Home Depot to implement the Lemon policy to reimburse us for this expensive and unreliable fridge!

                Poor design
I bought this fridge about 2 years ago, the fridge itself has a nice sleek look. The shelves inside do not allow for tall bottles without loosing space on the other shelves. When it came time to replace the water filter it was very hard to remove the old one, the same goes for the shelve above the water filter. I had to watch several YouTube videos to figure out how to remove the shelve and be able to remove the glass to be able to clean it.

Horrible Fridge, Multiple Issues, DO NOT RECOMMEND
I would not recommend this fridge to anyone. We have had the fridge for 4 years now and the ice maker has consistently gone out. That issue started right around the 1 year mark and recently it started making a really loud buzzing sound. For the price point that we paid for this fridge I would not expect to have had all of these issues. We thought Samsung was a good brand to go with, but we have had nothing but issues since buying this fridge. DO NOT BUY.

                    Very, very disappointed
This refrigerator has been an extreme disappointment. It's not a budget/economy appliance, so I've been very unhappy with its unreliability. I have had two service visits for the ice maker. The first time, the ice maker had stopped making ice completely. The second time, it was only making a few cubes a day. While the second repair got it making ice again, it leaked into the bottom of the refrigerator and also out the door dispenser ever since. Separately the unit has now stopped cooling completely and I'm waiting on a service visit, and I've been using it less than two years. Just a terrible experience for a pretty expensive appliance (though this would be disappointing no matter the price).

                      First french door
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first french door refrigerator and so far I am pleased with this purchcase. The compartments are roomy and the controls are very easy to adjust when setting up. The LED lighting is perfect. I am still trying to figure out how to adjust the shelves but once I get it the way I want it, I am sure I will be VERY pleased.

                          Ice Maker is Wildly Inconsistent
This fridge came with my house, bought two years ago, and it's been the worst part of living here. The main issue is the ice maker, it randomly stops working. Despite filter changes and troubleshooting, and then at a later date it'll start again. Poorly engineered and very frustrating.

                                Broken shelves right afterwarranty expiration
We bought this refrigerator a little over a year ago, and the plastic holding the shelf over the crisper broke right about the time the warranty expired. Now the drawer glide for one drawer has broken. The cooling functions work well and the design is nice, but I don’t think there is a way to repair the drawer glide, so we would just have to live w it. Really disappointing to see this wear and tear in a new product.

Taking accurate measurements in your home is critical when purchasing a new refrigerator. Here are step by step instructions on how to do it correctly.

Please ensure the following prior to delivery:

                                  • Water connection kit required
                                  • 110V-grounded, 3-prong electrical outlet
                                  • Water valve (shutoff) within 6 ft. of hook up
                                  • Measure the delivery path and new appliance area to make sure that your refrigerator will fit perfectly
                                  • Verify your existing electrical and water connections
                                  • Empty & unplug your old refrigerator
