Can I use this keypad to turn an alarm system on and off? I would like the red ON button to stay lit when the alarm is armed.
Hi Curious, Yes, the keypad is for arming and disarming, on/off, the alarm system. The keypd is backlit only when pressing the keypad for a few seconds and the lights don't stay permanently and you cannot have the RED butoon stay lit. Can this be used as a 3 way switch, one regular switch and this keypad as an additional key pad switch?
Hi Marty, As I understand your question, you want to use this keypad as an electrical switch, if so , this is not possible, This keypad arms/disarms the alarm panel and connto handle 120 VAC from an electrical switch.
