Questions & Answers

can i use this for transferring automotive fluids? It appears to be 28.8" length where it fits in top of 55 gallon drum. I don't have current access to the drum that I'm going to drain; will the hose get to the bottom of a typical 55 gal drum? Thanks

Hi, Can I use this to draw liquid through a large hole at the top of a tank, or does the tank need to be sealed, with this going through a sealed hole? What I mean is, does the tank have to have pressure seal when pumping with this?
            ByDec 29, 2022
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

The tank does not need to be sealed although operation of the pump would be easier if securely attached to the tank. But it can pump from a tank if unsealed.

I purchased this and it worked perfectly. I then tried to use it again it could no longer create a siphon. It will pump but only a few ounces at a timeAVOID!

So far so good. It is what we needed to use on a 5 gal can of an ink cleaner to help transfer to a smaller spray bottle so that we didn't spill it. We had to cut the tube to fit the 5 gal can so the standard bung size screw in cap was just what we needed.

Could never get this pump to develop suction. The only way I can get it to work is to pump continuously. It won’t last long at this pace.
