How can I order additional shelves?

Can a lock be added
Yes a lock can be added! Unfortunately we do not have the locks for sale on Homedepot.com. But you can order you door at your local Home Depot. They have a program called My Custom Designs. There you can build out your door and add one of our locking systems or you could integrate one of your own. Please reach out if you have any additional questions
Do the books fall off when you push it open or pull it open?
Thank you for your question. No the books are going to stay in place when you are opening and closing the doors. Of course there are limitations to everything. If the door was slammed super hard the books could potentially tip over, but they would not fall off of the shelf as the momentum of closing the door would force the books further back on the shelf. Thank you for your question. Yes the door does come with a bottom threshold that the hardware mounts. If you are installing on carpet, then yes you would cut the carpet out where the bottom threshold is. This will give you a finished look, as well as provide the most structure for the door.
