Rustic Oak Solid Wood Entry Bench with Angled Shoe Storage Shelf (18 in. H x 48 in. W x 16 in. D)

Very nice shoe bench for the price. It matches our furniture well and has been fairly durable in our home with kids and pets. It was very easy to put together and is plenty sturdy. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who needs a relatively cheap shoe rack which also looks very good among your other rustic furniture. Only downside is that there are few places where the veneer or coating was scratched but it is an easy fix with my kids crayons.

The quality of the materials is nice much better than any of the other self assemble furniture I’ve gotten from larger big box store. Best of all the bench looks incredible and functions perfectly.

After recently gathering a large collection of shoes, I needed more storage, and this bench is the perfect solution. I wanted to be able to display some of my favorite shoes in a way that did not look cheap or tacky. This becnh neatly displays my kicks while also providing a place to sit while putting them on. I was somewhat worried about the structural integrity if I were to sit on it, being around 160lbs, but this bench has held up well! Installation was very easy and I could have done it myself but I reccomend having a second person help. The color fits very well with the rest of the furniture in my house and completes the look overall. I am head over heals how functional yet aesthetic this piece is and I will be gifting one to my parents for christmas! Definitely worth the money for what you get

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to assemble and is sturdy and strong. However the flipflops don't fit in and slides down as the bottom is in slanting position. Its good to keep shoes. Looks good but you can keep only maximum 5 pair of shoes. I liked the color very much.

At first I thought this bench was plastic veneered, but it is actually solid wood - top, rack, legs, everything. It's just sanded very smoothly and has a very high satin-type polish. It really looks nice! Assembly is fairly easy, although one of the screws stripped out even though I used hand tools. As it is real wood, the stripped screw was an easy fix. The type of construction makes it very solid once assembled. It does not wobble when you sit on it or flex when you pick it up. It's a perfect height for sitting, and for putting on or taking off shoes. The shoe rack is well thought out. The opening is large enough that I can stick my shoes on the rack with my feet, and actually retrieve shoes with my toes. Although the bench is a very nice size, there's only room for 5 or 6 pairs of adult shoes. Still it helps, and it makes a convenient place for the most-used shoes. The only issue I had was that it was uneven after assembly, a full 1/2 inch of wobble and no way to adjust it other than adding a shim under one of the back legs. There are no adjusting feet. Regardless, it looks great and it is super functional.

Looks like real wood, but is actually image-wrapped MDF (medium density fiberboard). All hardware included, except I used Titebond III and on my joints and red Loctite, the “chapstick” style solid type, on all the leg bolts into the bench top. So far it has held up to a 290 pound guy sitting on it regularly while changing his shoes. The storage underneath is large enough for 1-3 ppl to keep about 5-6 pairs of shoes underneath and off the floor. I’d be careful with wet shoes since it’s not real wood. The lip at the front holds the heels securely in place and is tall enough to fit up to 6–8” high boots. All in all, not bad. Pretty heavy actually, quite sturdy and supportive, but still MDF.

This Welwick Designs Bench is well-made, versatile and very sturdy. It has a classic design that will fit into any room decor and has any number of uses. It is 48" W x 18" H x 16" D and a nice size for my guest room. I have a guest coming in a couple of days and I'm excited to have a piece of furniture that can hold their suitcase on top, shoes on the angled lower shelf and still leave room for them to sit down. The lower shelf has a raised horizontal piece of wood in the front to keep the shoes from sliding off, which is a nice feature. It's a brown rustic oak color and is made of warp-resistant MDF with a durable laminate finish. Assembly is required and even though the instructions were very clear, all parts and hardware was included and all the pre-drilled holes lined up, it is easier to complete assembly with two people. It looks great and is so perfect for my guest room.

This Welwick wood entry way bench with angled shoe storage was a great selection for an alcove off of our entry hall (see photo). The parts arrived in excellent condition due to great packaging (see photo). All the parts come numbered accompanied with clear easy to follow instructions, extra hardware is also included. The parts all are made of wood with an durable MDF finish. The assembly is mostly Mortise-and-Tenon joints that you can apply wood glue to and then install hidden predrilled wood screws. The legs are attached to the top with machine screws placed into inset steel anchors. In all, it took me about 45 minutes to unpack and fully assemble the bench by myself. The resulting bench exceeded our expectations, super solid and attractive. My wife and I can easily sit on it at the same time and change our shoes. The rack will hold up to 6 pairs of adult size shoes (see photo).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color is a little on the grey side. I expected a medium brown but its kind of an ashy brown. Its still very beautiful. There were no defects or issues putting together. You will need wood glue when you assemble because some parts fit together peg style. And I think it affects the structural integrity of it so I would not skip the glue step. I needed another person when putting together because the pieces were too long to hold and screw straight at the same time. The directions were easy to follow. It comes up to my knees height wise. Its a nice accent piece in a walk way or entry area. You can dress it up with pillows and decorative pieces. It holds 5 pairs of adult shoes on the bottoms for us. We have people sit on top of it with no problem.
