Sumatra 135 Gal. White Large Resin Deck Box for Patio Garden Furniture, Outdoor Storage Container

Appearance is fine, quality of producr not so much Arrived with lid/cover damaged, have not heard back yet on any potential replacement part. Within a week of setting up i noticed a crack in the side as well. Does not seem very sturdy.

My carpenter was able to assemble this fairly easily even though we no instructions were included in the box. After getting it all assembled, my husband noticed that the cover is missing a corner piece. There is a hole there instead of the corner piece. Not sure who to contact to get either a replacement cover or the corner piece.

Product is watertight, easy to put together and great size. One problem. My storage box is missing the lids left corner piece?! Been used for holding outside toys and it works great. Its been approx. 4 months outside and still amazing!

Searched many stores for a big deck box. This by far was the best priced and purchase I've made. It fits 6 patio chair cushions, plus room for more things. It also serves as a bench and holds up to 300 lbs. Easy to assemble too. I love it. It also looks nice. Highly recommend

I assembled this spacious deck box with very little trouble. All of the included printed directions are pictorial and most of the assembly is a matter of clicking pieces into place. The only tool needed is a Phillips screwdriver which is used at the end to secure the lock and hydrolic lifting hardware. It is also advisable to wear work gloves as some pieces can be sharp. It would be great to have someone assist in assembly, especially when dealing with the top cover attachment but I was able to do it all myself without mishap. The lid opens smoothly and having a lockable storage box is a nice feature. I think this deck box would be appropriate for light items such as cushions and pool toys. I feel that the base piece would not support heavier items such as pool chemical containers. On the other hand, the manufacturer states that the lid is strong enough to support up to 770 pounds of weight so it can be used as a seating option for outdoor entertainment. It is spacious and keeps the interior space dry and well ventilated. I think this deck box will be very useful for keeping all of my cushions safe and clean when not in use.

This patio box came shipped to me with 6 large pieces, a package of 4 corner connectors and one lock latch, a package of tools, screws and hinges, and instructions. The material is sturdy plastic. Unassembled it seemed a little thin. Once assembled, it was sturdy and well built. A smaller person or child, while not advised, could sit on it with no issue. You can see from the picture -- I don't think I will use that feature, but it proves it's strong enough. Assembly was easy. The only tool required was a Phillips screwdriver. At one point two people are required to assemble. The instruction manual was picture based, but each side/piece was identified by a two letter mark on the inside of part. Every piece snapped in; however, a couple spots had the plastic piece not fully cut by the manufacturer. So I had to really press hard to snap it in. Assembly took only about 10-15 minutes and the two person part only took a couple minutes. Knowing that this will be on the side of the garage that is not exposed to the heat of the sun, nor a lot of other weather elements, this should last a very long time. Storage size is good and will fit nearly the same amount of stuff as my previous box. The intent is to store paint cans, charcoal for the bbq, and some lawn tools. Lastly a locking feature is provided so it can be secured with an padlock (but, that was not included).

Lots of good storage, easy to assemble and good price. There is added strength with the metal bars to help it hold up. Assembly was easy, I did it by myself no problem. It can really hold a lot, I was surprised how much I got in there. The best part is the lifters for the lid. They hold the lid open when you are digging around in there and soft close when you go to shut it. Very nice feature. Once assembled, I sat on it and it easily held my 185 lbs. Looks good, too. If you have 20 minutes and a Philips head screw driver, you too can have this ‘huge’, decorative 135 gallon storage! I got this storage for the purpose of providing the kids a place to shield their yard toys from the elements, providing myself easy access to landscaping tools and, if there is any space left, perhaps keeping a bundle or two of firewood extra dry for the next fire pit. Well, there is room for all that – and more! What a wonderful problem to have; spare storage space! I’m sure I’ll put it too good use. The deck box is made of a ‘thick’ polypropylene resin plastic, which has already withstood quite a bit of rain and snow, in the few weeks it’s been outside, without a drop of moisture getting in. It’s super-strong; re-enforced with a couple of metal bars which run along the interior lengthwise, it would be hard to damage it accidently. Any “crud” that builds up on the exterior seems like it could be easily cleaned off with a hose-down and wiping. It is designed to do double-duty as two-person seating, and I definitively need more seating as well as storage, killing two birds with one stone with this product. Assembly is as simple as it gets. The instructions weren’t wordy, nor did they have to be. The only tool you need is a phillips head screwdriver. The parts that don’t need to be screwed on simply snap together. Despite the fact the storage container’s dimensions are in the product description, I was still amazed at its size. Designed to seat two adults, I can see the storage container potentially used as seating on the patio or in the driveway during basketball games, and in the yard as additional seating around the fire pit. Speaking of which, the container is designed to provide dry yet ventilated storage, which would be great for keeping firewood prepped for the next bonfire. In addition, given the amount that can be stored in the container, I’m glad it’s lockable. Again it’s huge and, if full, it will also be heavy. Therefore, I’m less concerned with people stealing it outright and more concerned with someone getting into its contents. You have to supply your own padlock but that’s a small price to pay to secure everything you could conceivably store inside. All in all, great purchase. If you’re short on outdoor storage (and places to sit) consider the Sumatra 135 gallon deck box!

This is a great box for holding pool chemicals and other pool upkeep items. It is a no frills box without any nets to get in the way. It actually had foam packing in the box with interlocking corners to keep the box together. The carrier was rough with this package but it held together well. The assembly was quick and easy (I used a rubber mallet to assist). I received the 120 gallon and this 135 gallon pool boxes made by the same company as I am tearing down my 30 year old shed and needed something to put my pool stuff in. Some of the photos are a comparison between the 2 boxes. Each have their own purpose and merits. I did not think 15 gallons would make that much of a difference in size between the two but it does. It is a well made, sturdy box that will seat 2 people easily and is lockable for child resistance. All in all I am pleased with both boxes..
