A:  tommco - Since Siloxane based products are designed to protect against water, you will need to use a solvent instead. I would start testing with an alcohol based solvent.

This product will not damage asphalt shingles. The most effective method of application is the use of an ordinary garden pump sprayer. Eliminate most of the pressure at the spray nozzle and operate at the lowest practical pressure on the tank. The nozzle should be opened to a coarse spray adjustment. For even flooding of material, start at the bottom of the wall and hold the spray at an angle to avoid splashing. It is important to hold the spray tip close to the surface to avoid streaking. If DRYLOK® SILOXANE 7 Brick & Masonry Penetrating Sealer is applied with a brush, flow on liberally, do not brush out, to ensure even flooding of the surface. A:  JayA - DRYLOK® Siloxane 7 penetrates the surface, coverage will depend on the porosity. The grout lines will accept more Siloxane 7 than the flagstone. There isn't a mildewcide incorporated, but it may help as it repels water.
