Questions and Answers for GE 1.6 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave in Stainless Steel

A:  This model would make a great addition to your home. All 30" Over-the-Range Microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our current 30" Over-the-Range microwave models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" Over-the-Range microwave model. When replacing an Over-the-Range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts and exhaust adapter should also be used.

A:  Thanks for your interest. Our over-the-range microwaves are designed for installation above and beside cabinets that are a maximum of 12 3/4" deep.

A:  All of our 30" over-the-range microwaves will replace each other and will all work great over a gas range. We have models JVM6175DKWW and JVM7195DKWW that would be wonderful additions to your home. A:  While this model will fit in the same 30" opening as your existing model, it does not offer many of the great features you've become accustomed to using such as the sensor cooking. You may wish to look at model - JVM6175DKBB. For all model replacements. we recommend using the mounting bracket and hardware that will be packaged with the new microwave to ensure safe and proper operation.
