Answer This Question
A: Our refrigerators are designed to operate as quietly as possible. Insulation, compressors, fan design, etc. contribute to the quiet operation. We do expect the unit to make some sounds as it operates, however, and modern refrigerators may also sound a bit different than older models. More information on what noises the unit may make is available in the manual, on page 37: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/f5/f5d3fa6e-1bf9-4351-9e3d-5064753e7926.pdf .

Q:is the wattage used on this fridge higher than 1875 watts? id like to use an outlet surge protector.
by|Feb 27, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: The running amperage is 2.5. That said, we do not recommend connecting a refrigerator or freezer to a surge protector. The compressor is sensitive to temperature and current overloads and will shut itself down with a power surge. It will also restart itself. A surge protector will override this system. If there is a power surge, your refrigerator may not restart when connected to the surge protector which could result in food spoilage.
