A:  There is not an option to manually defrost this fridge.

A:  Yes, the PVD28BYNFS is Energy Star Rated.

A:  The refrigerator will hold a magnet, but because of the fingerprint resistant finish we do not recommend using magnets on the unit. It can damage the finish.

A:  Yes! This refrigerator has an in-the-door ice maker and dispenses ice from the dispenser. Thank you for pointing that out! We will get the specs updated soon to reflect the correct information.

A:  Our refrigerators are designed to operate as quietly as possible. Insulation, compressors, fan design, etc. contribute to the quiet operation. We do expect the unit to make some sounds as it operates, however, and modern refrigerators may also sound a bit different than older models. A:  We design our units to operate as quietly as possible, with insulation, fan design, compressors, etc. contributing to the quiet operation of our refrigerators. A:  No, the optional second icemaker is not compatible with this model refrigerator.

A:  We do offer the step- by-step instructions to remove the glass from the shelf frame to clean. A:  The running amperage is 2.5. That said, we do not recommend connecting a refrigerator or freezer to a surge protector. The compressor is sensitive to temperature and current overloads and will shut itself down with a power surge. It will also restart itself. A surge protector will override this system. If there is a power surge, your refrigerator may not restart when connected to the surge protector which could result in food spoilage.
