A:  Hello! Thank you for your interest in our gas cooktops. We compared the GE Profile model PGP7030SLSS and our GE Appliances model JGP5030SLSS and determined the Profile model offers white LED backlit knobs and an 18,000 BTU Power Boil center burner. The GE Appliances model does not offer backlit knobs and the center burner is rated at 15,000 BTUs. These are the specific differences between these two models. Stainless steel appearance of the knobs means that the knobs are made of an electro-plated plastic and coated with stainless steel. Neither are scratch proof. We hope this helps.
